  • Metal Gear Solid 5 Formally Announced. Get Ready For Kojima Confusion

    AT LAST!! THE GREAT MYSTERY IS SOLVED!!

    The worst kept secret in video games was officially unveiled today as Hideo Kojima announced at GDC that The Phantom Pain was indeed Metal Gear Solid 5. But he also had a bit of an ace up his sleeve and said that both The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes combine together to make Metal Gear Solid 5.

    It seems like the official title will be Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. A new trailer was shown that combined footage from both previous trailers of The Phantom Pain and MGS: Ground Zeroes as well as some new info. It seems Snake has been in a coma for the past nine years and the initial hospital escape shown in The Phantom Pain trailer back in December will serve as the game’s tutorial and opening.

    The game was running on a PC on the new FOX Engine and should be pretty close to what the final build will look like when the game releases, presumably on the Playstation 4.

    Before you watch the trailer below just remember this is a Kojima trailer which means to fully understand the depth of what is happening you need to get sloppy drunk with some Kentucky bourbon, preferably Woodford Reserve. Then, get good and addicted to heroin. I am talking about Jared Leto in Requiem for a Dream addicted . Finally, you must stab an adrenaline shot directly into your heart and press play on the video.

  • Hey Japan, You Have A Hugh Jackman Problem. The Wolverine International Trailer Is Here

    I have been doing my best to temper my expectations when it comes to The Wolverine. Even though the new movie is based on one of the greatest Wolvie stories ever written and knowing that Hugh Jackman has said that they are trying to fix the clusterfu** that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I remain steadfast in not getting too excited about the movie.

    Hey, it’s the first trailer for the movie. Let’s take a look.

  • First Trailer For White House Down

    You thought Gerard Butler was the only guy that could save the President? Wrong! This summer it will be Channing Tatum’s turn. The first trailer has just gone up for Roland Emmerich’s White House Down and don’t write this movie off just because it is opening a few months after Olympus Has Fallen.

    Now everyone should know that I am not the biggest Channing Tatum fan. Not because of how popular he is, but just the fact that he has a hard time……acting. The trailer has a different feel to it beginning with a very prophetic quote by Abraham Lincoln and spending most of the run time in a forced silence.

    Remember back in 1998 when Deep Impact opened and Morgan Freeman was president and that idea was the greatest idea in history? A lot of people liked Deep Impact, then Armageddon opened up in the summer and completely kicked Deep Impact in the taint. So who knows, maybe Channing Tatum will win this round with King Leonidas.

    White House Down releases on June 28th.

     

  • New Watch Dogs Trailer Is Not So New, But Still Fun To Watch

    A new trailer for Ubisoft’s [amazon_link id=”B00BGHUS58″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Watch Dogs[/amazon_link] has gone up today. Well I say new in a very loose way. It is the trailer we saw at the PS4 event back in February only it has been dubbed over with a woman giving narration about all of the illegal activities that protagonist Aiden Pearce partakes in including; hacking people’s bank accounts to get cash from an ATM and use the city’s security system to evade police.

    Oh and he also beats the shit out of an abusive ex who tries to assault a woman. Good times.

    Watch Dogs releases this fall.

  • Saint’s Row IV Will Take You From Crack House To White House On Aug. 20

    Deep Silver is looking to make some money off of their $22 million dollar acquisition of Volition sooner rather than later. They have officially announced that Saint’s Row IV will release on August 20th, a full month before Grand Theft Auto V.

    The company has said that the previously announced DLC for Saint’s Row The Third, “Enter the Dominatrix”, will be rolled into Saint’s Row IV.

    Going bigger and weirder (if that is possible) than ever, Saint’s Row IV has the leader of the Saints becoming the President of the United States and has you fighting against an alien force looking to take over the planet. It basically sounds like thy took another one of my favorite THQ franchises, Destroy All Humans, and brings it into the purple dildo wielding world of Saint’s Row.

  • The Hangover Part III Trailer

    Oh Hangover, you had me at Ave Maria.

    The first trailer for The Hangover Part III has The Wolfpack heading to Las Vegas again after the death of Alan’s father and Stu promises to burn it to the ground. There is definitely more gunplay than you’d expect and it seems like the third act may be going to a darker place to find its laughs. You can already tell by watching this trailer that they are going balls out and trying to show fans that this is not going to be a repeat of the first two.

    After watching the trailer I think we should rename it Giraffe’s and Loathing in Las Vegas.

    The Hangover Part III releases on Memorial Day.

    Quick family story:

    Living in the south, most people find it hard to…how do I say this….have different opinions and beliefs. So when my mother heard about Monty Python and the Holy Grail coming to her little southern theater in 1975, she had to hurry and see it before the (her words) “baptists got it shut down”. And as much as I would like to think strides have been made down here, there are many days and conversations that I hear that makes me think George Wallace is still alive.

    Well get ready, cause here comes Rapturepalooza.

    A comedy about the Rapture starring Anna Kendrick, John Francis Daley, Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson as the Antichrist. It seems the Antichrist is a fun loving guy that likes the finer things in life like nice suits and nuking Orlando and he has the hots for Anna Kendrick. Check out the red band trailer below and take a look at how the world ends. Not with a scream, but with shooting Jesus out of the sky with a laser gun.

  • Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2 Trailer

    Mortal Kombat Legacy was a big success in 2011 for director Kevin Tancharoen. Big enough that Warner Bros. not only gave him a chance for a second season of the show but also the directing job for a new Mortal Kombat feature film. Now Season 2 of Mortal Kombat Legacy is almost upon us and here is the first trailer.

    A lot of new additions have been made for Season 2 both in characters and actors. Ermac, Stryker and more will be joining the series and some roles will be filled by new actors most notably Johnny Rico himself Casper Van Dien as Johnny Cage and Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa reprising his role of Shang Tsung from the first Mortal Kombat film.

    There will be ten episodes of Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2 and each will average around eight minutes in length. The series can be seen on Machinima.com.

  • Sony’s Mysterious Game Day 2013 Trailer

    A video has been put up by Sony on their YouTube channel titled Game Day 2013. In the short 16 second teaser a woman is shown walking in a field and then a demonic yellow eye is shown with the date February 1, 2013. Right off the bat I think it is most likely Kratos’ wife hinting at a God of War  announcement set for Friday.

    We can always hope against hope that it is Heavenly Sword 2 right?

  • Aliens: Colonial Marines “Kick Ass” Trailer

    Gearbox is back with another trailer for [amazon_link id=”B005THAX6K” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Aliens: Colonial Marines[/amazon_link]. In it you are tasked by your commander to become the ultimate marine and take back your comrades from the xenomorph masses.

    This trailer shows a good bit of gameplay and ends with you taking control of a power loader like Ripley at the end of Aliens. Whether you say “get away from her you bitch” when you play the game is entirely up to you. I will be saying it though.

    Aliens: Colonial Marines releases on February 12th.
