  • Megan Fox Cast In Michael Bay’s Ninja Turtles…..God No

Jesus Michael Bay, it’s like you are just doing this sh** on purpose now.

So remember Michael Bay’s bastardization of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise? You know, where he was going to make them not teenagers or mutants, but rather adult aliens? You had four jobs Bay!! Here it is:

    -Teenagers

    -Mutants

    -Ninjas

    -Turtles

And he couldn’t even do that correctly.

The movie was put on definite hold last year while they worked out the kinks in the script and development which I assuming meant actually writing a script and figuring out how to fund this giant clusterf***. Well things are back on you lucky fans. And Michael Bay has decided on his April O’Neil…..Megan Fox.

    I give up.

You know what we should really have been expecting this. We have great Marvel movies and The Dark Knight trilogy so there has to be a punishment somewhere and Michael Bay is here ready with his cinematic cat of nine tails.

  • Iron Man 3 Will Have Collector’s Glasses For 3D Showings

Marvel is ready to make this May’s release of Iron Man 3 something to remember with four special edition 3D glasses for the film. The pairs include Iron Man, Tony Stark, War Machine and Iron Patriot. There will be a small extra for the glasses which will bring the total cost of a nighttime showing of Iron Man 3 in IMAX 3D with DBOX seats and special glasses to around a cool $47.50.

I don’t see why more movies don’t take advantage of this honestly. I would have went to see Lincoln in theaters if they offered special 3D glasses with beard attached.

  • Khal Drogo Is Now A Guardian Of The Galaxy

It looks like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie just bulked up big time.

Jason Mamoa, star of Game of Thrones and the reboot of Conan the Barbarian, has reportedly been offered the role of Drax the Destroyer on the intergalactic team. The casting appeared to be down to Dave Bautista, Brian Patrick and Isaiah Mustafa and Mamoa. Mamoa nailed his screen test and Marvel offered him the role on the spot.

Drax the Destroyer is Arthur Douglas, a human whose family was killed by villain Thanos. His spirit was placed inside a powerful body and given powers to combat the the villain.

When Marvel was bought up by Disney (in what used to be a big deal until the Star Wars sale took over) you knew that this would happen eventually. Blogger Phil Postma has taken scenes from various Pixar movies and created shots of the characters not just of Marvel heroes and villains but from the DC universe as well. They range from Magneto, Batman & Robin, Spider-Man and even Phoenix. There are at least four or five that I would not mind having framed up and adorning some wall space.

And before you ask, yes it is kind of weird seeing Merida from Brave as Poison Ivy. Very…very….weird.

There has been no studio confirmation, but reports are saying that Marvel Films has found its lead in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Parks and Recreation alum Chris Pratt has reportedly nabbed the role of Peter Quill known as Star Lord on the intergalactic team. Pratt beat out the likes of Joel Edgerton, Jim Sturgess and Jack Huston from Boardwalk Empire who all tested for the role.

The movie version of Guardians of the Galaxy will consist of Star Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora and Groot.

Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey have been in talks for an unspecified role but rumors suggest it will be for the voice of Rocket Raccoon. The role of Drax the Destroyer has been narrowed down to Isiah Mustafa, Brian Patrick Wade and former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista.

Guardians of the Galaxy releases on August 1, 2014.

  • Iron Man 3 Extended Super Bowl Trailer

If you were like me then you spent a good part of last night’s Super Bowl waiting for the Iron Man 3 trailer. And also, if you were like me, then you were a little disappointed when it was a snippet of an airplane rescue.

    Fear not true believers!!

The extended trailer (which the Super Bowl ad shared the link to) completely makes up for it. For all you ladies, you get thirty straight seconds of Robert Downey Jr. then we get to see more footage including Happy not looking so happy, Rhodey in full Iron Patriot armor and more Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin. I really don’t see why Disney didn’t foot the bill and put the full trailer up last night.

  • New Iron Man 3 Poster

Paramount and Marvel have released a new poster for Iron Man 3. In it our dear friend Tony Stark appears to be free falling to Earth as his suit breaks apart.

Director Shane Black seems to be taking Tony down a dark road in this third installment of the franchise. With the tone of the trailer released late last year and the introduction of Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin, it looks like Tony’s worst days are ahead of him.

Iron Man 3 will have a Super Bowl ad that will run during the big game this weekend and we will have it here for you on Monday.

Iron Man 3 releases on May 3rd.

  • The Devil’s Due: Welcome to Hell’s Kitchen

    DD 500

I love Daredevil. As of last year, I own and have read everything from the beginning of “Vol. 2” – when Marvel reset the numbering to #1, put it under the “Marvel Knights” brand, and let Kevin Smith take the reigns – up to Andy Diggle’s #507 – which is actually #127 under the new numbering, but Marvel saw it fit to override that with the old system in order to commemorate reaching 500 total issues. Doing this was no easy feat, as many of these issues are only collected in now out-of-print trades, or not collected in trades at all. I also own the three trades that follow the point I’m at, trades that revolve around Matt Murdock’s final fall from grace and subsequent “rebirth.” But I’m getting way ahead of myself there, storyline-wise. My point is: I love Daredevil. (more…)

  • How To Build Stark Tower In Lego Marvel Super Heroes

    Iron Man Lego Tony Stark

This video from the good folks at Game Informer gives us a look at the interior of the Star Tower level in Lego Marvel Super Heroes. In it you see Tony Stark, Captain America and Hulk in Tony’s workshop while showing off a little bit of the puzzles involving small RC helicopters and Cap’s shield. You can tell the game is still very early in development. As great as Lego Batman 2 was my expectations are high for Lego Marvel Super Heroes.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes releases this fall.
