Here is the gameplay trailer for [amazon_link id=”B0050SXKU4″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Grand Theft Auto V[/amazon_link] and even if you are not a fan of the GTA series there is no way you can say that this doesn’t look ambitious as hell.
The trailer gives you a great look at how the switching mechanic will work between the three protagonists allowing you to drop in at any time between missions and see what they are up to in their daily lives. Working in tandem during heists looks like it will be a fun new aspect as well as splitting the take where you can buy cars or even play the stock market. Rockstar looks like they have streamlined the HUD as well with a quick select wheel for weapons and a new focus on gunplay which was always such a huge part of GTA that was lacking.
We were all hoping [amazon_link id=”B007CM0K86″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Last of Us[/amazon_link] would be a hit and Sony has confirmed that it indeed is just that.
In the first three weeks of release the Naughty Dog title has sold 3.4 million copies which include digital download numbers from the Playstation Store. It has become the highest selling PS3 title of 2013 and should have no problem passing 5 million copies by year’s end.
It is good to see such an amazing game with sales numbers like this and I am sure it is a matter of pride for Naughty Dog that it has been received so well.
It is quite wonderful the trinkets you can find out there with some time and patience. Take for instance this glowing life bar necklace, available from Critical Hit Shop on Etsy for only $16. They come with a 18,20 or 22″ chain and instantly add +5 to respect from me if I see you wearing one.
You can also order the necklace in depleted values like “Mostly Dead or “Mostly Alive”. Be sure and check out the rest of the items they offer including blue mana necklaces. You spend like $20 in Starbucks a week, you can get one of these.
If you bought the Season Pass for [amazon_link id=”B005THAX5Q” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Aliens: Colonial Marines[/amazon_link] there is good news on the horizon. A new single-player DLC pack named “Stasis Interrupted” will be releasing for the game. No details have been given for what content will be included on the DLC, but rest assured, it can not possibly make the game any better.
Aliens: Colonial Marines received a disappointing 4.5/10 score in our review back in February. If you still own this game and have the Season Pass I personally wished we made more money from the site so that I could refund you at least the $15 spent on the DLC.
Even as I play through Borderlands 2, Gearbox still rubs me the wrong way when I think about this travesty of a game.
Even if you are a fan of [amazon_link id=”B001GCUO16″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]X-Men Origins: Wolverine[/amazon_link] (God, why?) you have to admit that the character of Wade Wilson “aka Deadpool” was completely and utterly gang raped. It was like watching Santa Claus get sodomized by the Easter Bunny while The Tooth Fairy (The Rock, not the mystical character) filmed the entire thing.
Things must be righted. Deadpool demands a better movie treatment and who in God’s name knows if we will ever get it?
How about Ryan Reynolds? You know, the guy who was Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins and is supposed to play the character again in his own solo flick fixing all of the wrongs that have been perpetrated on the character.
In an interview with Total Film, Reynolds gave the most honest update ever on a movie. It was quite Deadpool-like.
“That movie is alive and kicking, and then it’s dead as a doornail. Then it’s alive and kicking and then it’s dead… it’s like the worst relationship I’ve ever had!”
“The character knows he’s a comic-book character, he knows he’s in a film, he knows who the executives are at the studio making the movie,” Reynolds explained. “In the current iteration of the script, Deadpool is aware of the Wolverine movie. He doesn’t say anything disparaging about it but he does at one point play with the Deadpool action figure with some curiosity.
It does show you how strong nerds like me feel about Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool that he can survive a disaster the size of the last Wolverine movie and still have fans wanting him to play the part again if only to right the ship.
2K Sports may be wanting you to tear down the cockpit door once again. Kotaku is reporting that the once loved, always scary former WWF Champion will be making his return to the video game world in [amazon_link id=”B00CMC6HCY” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]WWE 2K14[/amazon_link].
Previously, The Ultimate Warrior was only available in Legends of WrestleMania and WWE All-Stars. This will mark his first appearance in any of the Smackdown games which date back to 2000. I, for one, am quite excited to relive the absolute batsh** insanity that The Ultimate Warrior brought to my childhood.
This July 4th weekend was a tale of exact opposites at the box office. On one side you have Despicable Me 2, which cost a mere $75 million to make and had one of the highest grosses for the extended five-day period. Then, on the other side, you have Disney’s The Lone Ranger, boasting Johnny Depp and a whole lot of trains that go boom to the tune of a $215 million budget which ended up being the studio’s third massive disappointment in trying to start a new franchise after Prince of Persia and John Carter. The new version of the western character could only manage $29 million over the normal weekend period and $48 million since last Wednesday.
It has to come as a huge hit to Disney who initially cancelled the filming of The Lone Ranger altogether because of a ballooning budget. It was trimmed down to a “modest” $150 million and was given the green light. That amount of money was short lived because when all was said and done The Lone Ranger came in with over a $200 million cost anyway. This doesn’t look like a bomb of John Carter size, but it will still carry the label with it forever.
Pacific Rim does not release until July 12th, but early screenings are taking place and if Hideo Kojima has anything to say about it then this may be the movie of the summer (and not just for us Americans).
The Metal Gear Solid creator sent out a series of tweets building up the Guillermo del Toro directed film, even comparing it to the first time he watch Jurassic Park. High praise indeed.
Dear twitter friends, The followings are my comment regarding "Pacific Rim". Luckily I was allowed to tweet in public by WB.
Why can’t one day…just one day…go by without me wanting to buy some random item when there is so much more I could be doing with my money like saving or making it rain Pacman Jones-style?
These rather awesome looking 3D night lights are done by 3D Light FX and can be found at all Target stores nationwide. They retail for only $25 which is a steal to me. If you have kids that are into the Marvel movies this should be a no brainer and if you are a fat nerd that likes bright shiny things that make you feel safe at night this will be in your (my) room soon.
The heroes available are: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, The Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man. Go and check out the complete line on the 3D Light FX site.
Let’s all be honest, when we were 14 we were talking the same way right?
No? Well maybe I am just fu**ed in the head then.
How about this?
Let’s all be honest, if we were 14 and lived in a post-apocalyptic society where fungal creatures were turning humans into walking death and all we had to protect us was a shiv we made out of some metal and tape we would be talking the same way right?
No? Well sh**. Aren’t you the patron saint of clean mouth?
