  • New Trailer For Game Of Thrones Season 3

    http://youtu.be/R4XSeW4B5Rg

Damn there is too much good TV going right now. We are closing in on the end of The Walking Dead, Vikings is way better than I had thought it would be and Bates Motel premiered last night. Let’s not forget that we are also only a few short weeks away from Season 3 of Game of Thrones.

HBO has released a new trailer with a ton of new footage in it including what I like to call “Brienne and Jaime’s Excellent Adventure”.

Was that bear I saw? Hell yeah it was! Brienne doesn’t care! She takes what she wants!!

Game of Thrones premieres on March 31st.

  • The S.H.I.E.L.D. TV Pilot Is Filming Now

Joss Whedon and company have begun filming the pilot episode for the S.H.I.E.L.D. television series. Whedon has written the pilot and also began writing multiple episodes even though the series has not been officially picked up yet. ABC Studios is expected to pick it up after the pilot is filmed and screened.

The biggest question on everyone’s minds is how exactly does Agent Phil Coulson figure into the show. Clark Gregg has already confirmed that he is on the show so whether he is shown in flashbacks, cloned, brought back from the dead or any one of a thousand other ways to bring him back is a mystery. I hope they do the Coulson character’s return justice because his death was the emotional catalyst for [amazon_link id=”B0083SBJXS” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Avengers[/amazon_link] and  would lose something if he was brought back cheaply, but this is Joss Whedon so I am assuming the best.

  • Could A Fallout TV Show Be In The Future?

    fallout3_3_lg

Bethesda filed for a trademark that has people wondering about the possibility of a television show based on their huge series [amazon_link id=”B001REZLY8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Fallout [/amazon_link]. The application calls for Bethesda to have the rights to the Fallout name for “entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world”.

With the massive success of The Walking Dead, a Fallout series should not be too far out of the realm of possibility. With this trademark Bethesda could have something in the works or simply be covering their bases for all the uses of the Fallout name. Only time will tell.

But if a Fallout series is in the future, you have to get Ron Perlman to be in it it. Right? Just pay him whatever he wants.

  • Final Episode Of Fringe Is Friday. Check Out The Poster And Preview.

    fringe_finale_poster_600

After five hard fought years, Fringe will be ending its series run on Friday night. Now I am, admittedly, behind on the show (in Season 3 now) so needless to say I have not watched this preview and have done pretty well to stay spoiler free until I catch up. But for those fans who have been with the series since day one it has to be a somber time. Fox gave the series a fifth season to end things how the creators saw fit despite being ratings challenged and buried on Friday nights.

Take a look at the preview below as one of the most unique shows to air on television gets ready to say goodbye.

  • Archer Is Back January 17th. Get Ready With Character Interviews And New Poster

    Archer_Season_4

January means two things: it is a new year full of broken resolutions and Archer is back! Season 4 of the FX show is set to premiere on January 17th and today we got a look at a new poster. To go along with this there are a set of character interviews below that have each character describing what would be their perfect day. Two things I took from these: I am now oddly interested as to what “dunch” is and how come Krieger didn’t get a video?

  • Game Of Thrones Season 3 To Have Longer Episodes

Rejoice Game of Thrones fans! While the wait for the new season of HBO’s hit show may seem like an eternity, today’s news may make the wait a little easier.

David Benioff and Dan Weiss, who write and produce the show, have revealed that episodes for Season 3 will run around 5-6 minutes longer with most being around 56-57 minutes long.

Weiss praised HBO for giving them the time,

“There’s almost another full episode’s worth of extra minutes spread across the season. One of the great liberties with HBO is we’re not forced to come in at a specific time. We can’t be under 50 minutes or over 60, but that gives us a lot of flexibility.”

They have also petitioned the network to have the Season 3 finale run well over an hour. I for one am all for this because as anyone that has read A Storm of Swords will tell you this should be the season when the stuff really hits the fan and they need all the extra time they can get to show it.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on March 31, 2013.

  • The Walking Dead Shooter Gets Reedus And Rooker

Not to be confused with Traveler’s Tale’s amazing game of the same name, Terminal Reality has there own game named The Walking Dead coming next year. This game will be a first person shooter and will follow two of the TV shows main characters, Merle and Daryl Dixon.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be published by Activision and release in 2013 and show how the two brothers made their way to Atlanta as the world falls apart around them. And to add to the realism of the characters the developers have announced that they have gotten Michael Rooker and Norman Reedus to reprise their roles in the game. So get ready to play as everyone’s favorite racist redneck brothers as they stab and crossbow their way through the zombie apocalypse.
