If you know me then you know I love Pacific Rim. More than I should. It struck the right chord in the theater and made me feel like I was 10 again watching a big, bombastic action movie. Now Sideshow Collectibles are trying to test my love with these new statues based on the movie.

How is that possible you might ask?

Well, while the statues of Gipsey Danger and the knife-head Kaiju are a wonder to behold, they also will cost a sweat-inducing $400 a piece. I am gonna need some more incentive for a purchase like that. If I pay 800 bucks for two statues I better get a romantic dinner with Charlie Hunnam while Charlie Day sings The Nightman Cometh by candle light.

Check out Sideshow Collectible’s site for a full gallery on both statues.

Soooo what is the dragon shout for “take my money now”?

Gaming Heads have crafted this 1/6 scale figure of Dovahkiin the Dragonborn from [amazon_link id=”B004HYK8Y8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim[/amazon_link] to make all of your nerd friends jealous and all of your other friends wonder about why you can’t spend money wisely.

It stands 16″ tall and comes with two different arm attachments. One with a fire spell that appears to pulsate and the other with a shorter sword. A certificate of authenticity and all the usual good stuff that accompanies a $300 dollar figure will come along with it.

There will only be 500 pieces made and retails for $329.99.

DC Collectibles is ready and set to unleash a full line of 1:6 scale statues for Zack Snyder’s huge Superman revival, Man of Steel. Below you can see a very good look at Michael Shannon as Zod. He is looking very non-Terrence Stamp and all badass. Other statues which you can see are Superman himself played by Henry Cavill, the mysterious Faora played by Antje Traue and Jor-El who is obviously played by Russell Crowe who comes with a Kryptonian gun and not a phone to assault people.

Prices have not been revealed for the statues and will be released this spring.
