  • New Poster And International Trailer For Star Trek Into Darkness

As one Pam Poovey from Archer would say. Holy shit snacks.

This new international trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness involves a lot of balls and they happen to be going to the wall. There is a ton of new footage in this as well as so much more Benedict Cumberbatch creepy awesomeness.

Here are a few things to look and listen for:

-Cumberbatch is referred to as a “top agent” of Starfleet. The Khan factor is looking less and less likely.

-For some reason, with Cumberbatch’s attack on the Starfleet meeting, I am thinking more and more that Admiral Pike may bite it in the movie.

    -Alice Eve in her underwear….yeah.

-Also may I add….Peter Weller!! Admiral Robocop is in full effect in this trailer.

Also, check out the new poster below. Star Trek Into Darkness releases on May 15th.

  • Star Trek Into Darkness Super Bowl Ad, Release Date Changed

    ” I am better.”

    “At what?”

    “Everything.”

Benedict Cumberbatch was apparently talking to all the other movie trailers that were shown at the Super Bowl because this newest one for Star Trek Into Darkness is thirty seconds of goosebumpy, nerdy feels.

Can I just say how awesome it is to get Chris Pine in the yellow Starfleet uniform, which we really only got a glimpse of it at the end of 2009’s Star Trek. It also looks as if the Enterprise has see better days as we see it plummeting to Earth.

We are still taking bets on Cumberbatch’s role. Khan? Possibly. Gary Mitchell? Unlikely since the monthly comic series that bridges the two movies has already had a re-telling of that tale. Maybe he is playing a chryogenically frozen Sherlock that has been thawed out in the future and embraced his madness. The possibilities!

Star Trek Into Darkness releases on May 17th……NOPE!!

People that downloaded the official movie app were given the announcement first that Star Trek Into Darkness will now open on Wednesday, May 15th with showtimes beginning at 8PM.

  • New Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer (Yes, Another One)

If you didn’t get a chance to see the nine minute preview of Star Trek Into Darkness over the weekend before viewings of The Hobbit (one word: amazeballs) then here is the brand spanking new trailer for the followup to the 2009 reboot.

Not to be confused with the trailer shown a couple of weeks back this trailer begins with Bruce Greenwood’s Christopher Pike giving Kirk some harsh advice which then segues into the Benedict Cumberbatch voiceover from the previous trailer. The preview ends with the scene from the Japanese trailer that looks to have a bit of foreshadowing or it could just be JJ Abrams keeping us on the hook.

Star Trek Into Darkness releases on May 17, 2013.

  • Star Trek Into Darkness Teaser Trailer Is Here

Get Ready To Boldly Go Again.

The first teaser trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness has gone up and it does not disappoint even though it only runs a little over a minute.

Villain Benedict Cumberbatch narrates over the trailer with malice and evil intent. I would like to go ahead and say that if he does not steal the movie I will be shocked. His identity is still a mystery with most leaning towards Gary Mitchell from the original series episode “Where No Man Has Gone Before” but there is still a small inkling that he could still be Khan.

Don’t forget that the first nine minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness will be screened before IMAX showings of The Hobbit on about 500 screens next week.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

  • Star Trek Into Darkness Poster Revealed

Yes, We Know What It Looks Like.

Let the excitement begin. Here is the first poster for J.J. Abrams Star Trek Into Darkness. The scene seems to be a decimated London as Benedict Cumberbatch’s character (Gary Mitchell?) looks out over the destruction which just so happened to fall in the shape of a Starfleet symbol. Funny how that happens.

And yes we understand that this looks like last year’s poster for The Dark Knight Rises but is that really a bad thing?

For those looking for more Star Trek Into Darkness it has already been announced that the first trailer will be shown in front of The Hobbit and that the first nine minutes of the movie will be shown on about 500 IMAX screens before The Hobbit also.

Check out the official synopsis for the movie below and let us know what you think of the poster.

Star Trek Into Darkness releases on May 17, 2013.

“In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes “Star Trek Into Darkness.”

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.”

  • Star Trek Sequel Gets A Title

In celebration of Star Trek’s 46th anniversary, JJ Abrams followup to his 2009 reboot of the franchise has officially been given a title. The movie will be titled Star Trek Into Darkness and no I did not forget to place a colon in the middle. While initially it seems a little weird for a movie title I see it as how they used to name episodes for the original series (Where No Man Has Gone Before, Tomorrow Is Yesterday, etc.) so it’s got a good vibe with me right off the bat.

Star Trek Into Darkness opens May 17, 2013.
