  • iPhone 5S To Launch With Different Colors, 6 In 2014 With Larger Screen?

    iphone-5

An analyst for Jeffries has stated that he believes that the iPhone 6 will launch in 2014 with an even larger screen than its predecessor, the iPhone 5. He also went on to say the iPhone 5S will launch this summer with the 4″ screen that is standard on the 5’s now, but that Apple will try to woo new users with a better camera, faster processor and larger choice of colors beyond just black and white.

The iPhone’s chief rival, the Galaxy S series, is gaining steam on the king of smartphones and as much as we would like to say that this is just one analyst’s best guess, I can easily seeing things shake down just like he said.

  • Michael Rooker Joins Guardians Of The Galaxy, Raises Awesomeness By 200%

Guardians of the Galaxy is shaping up to have one of the most unique casts for a Marvel film by far. Michael Rooker has joined the cast to go along with Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and the (rumored) addition of Zoe Saldana. Rooker will play Yondu, one of the founding members of the Guardians.

Yondu is from Centauri IV and possesses the ability to have empathic relationships with certain lifeforms and can sense when mystical beings and forces are near.

Let’s just all agree that by adding Michael Rooker, Guardians of the Galaxy just got on a lot more radars, specifically fans of The Walking Dead who might not have heard of the Guardians movie. Although I’m sure Yondu won’t be as much fun as Merle and his stump-handed racism.

Guardians of the Galaxy releases on August 1, 2014.

  • Samsung’s Galaxy Mega Asks If You Can Handle 6 Inches

    galaxy-mega

Hey, are you one of those people walking around with a Galaxy Note I or II in your pocket as people wonder what is the bulge in your pants? Well guess what? It’s not the biggest anymore. That’s right, Samsung has moved one step closer to telling you to buy a Galaxy Tab and tape it to your head.

Introducing the Galaxy Mega. This big bastard comes in two sizes: the 5.8 inch “Look At Me And My Ridiculous Phone” and the 6.3 inch “It’s Big In China Phone”. They will come in 8 and 16GB versions and will support microSD cards up to 64GB. The 5.8 inch comes with a 960 x 540 resolution and the 6.3 inch is equipped with 1280 x 720 so you can read all the sad, lonely posts of your “friends” on Facebook in face melting high quality.

No North American release date has been given, but Europe and Russia will be getting them in May. Really? Russia is getting them before us? How many vodka and beet dinners will have to be forsaken to afford this thing?

  • Thanos Is Set To Be Batista Bombed

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has found its second member. Chris Pratt was cast a few weeks back as Peter Quill, the Star-Lord and now ex-WWE wrestler Dave Bautista is going to play Drax the Destroyer. Drax is a human that was given another body with special powers to take revenge on Thanos. With the movie’s budget I can be pretty sure that they will not just paint him green like an Orion slave girl from Star Trek.

One interesting thought I just had. How rather odd would it be that Dave Bautista could see his star in Hollywood rise to the same level that The Rock has been working on for ten years after just one Marvel movie?

It looks like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie just bulked up big time.

Jason Mamoa, star of Game of Thrones and the reboot of Conan the Barbarian, has reportedly been offered the role of Drax the Destroyer on the intergalactic team. The casting appeared to be down to Dave Bautista, Brian Patrick and Isaiah Mustafa and Mamoa. Mamoa nailed his screen test and Marvel offered him the role on the spot.

Drax the Destroyer is Arthur Douglas, a human whose family was killed by villain Thanos. His spirit was placed inside a powerful body and given powers to combat the the villain.

There has been no studio confirmation, but reports are saying that Marvel Films has found its lead in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Parks and Recreation alum Chris Pratt has reportedly nabbed the role of Peter Quill known as Star Lord on the intergalactic team. Pratt beat out the likes of Joel Edgerton, Jim Sturgess and Jack Huston from Boardwalk Empire who all tested for the role.

The movie version of Guardians of the Galaxy will consist of Star Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora and Groot.

Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey have been in talks for an unspecified role but rumors suggest it will be for the voice of Rocket Raccoon. The role of Drax the Destroyer has been narrowed down to Isiah Mustafa, Brian Patrick Wade and former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista.

  • Here Is The Galaxy Muse, Samsung’s Answer To The iPod Shuffle

First off, I know what you are thinking and no Samsung has not started making birth control holders.

This, in fact, is the company’s answer to Apple’s iPod Shuffle, the Galaxy Muse. The Muse comes with 4GB of storage and promises 6 hours of music playback. While not incredibly stylish in design it does have some cool features that could make this worth a purchase for Galaxy phone owners.

The big feature of this player is the Music Sync Android, which lets you sync your music from your phone to the player without the need of a PC. Simply plug in the Muse into your [amazon_link id=”B007VCRRNS” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Galaxy S3[/amazon_link] or [amazon_link id=”B0099LATZ2″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Galaxy Note 2[/amazon_link] through the headphone jack on the Muse to the USB port on your phone and bingo, your music is synced.

With Samsung making huge headway into Apple’s smartphone money with the Galaxy series this is the next logical step in their attempt to keep their brand strong. The Galaxy Muse is available now and only costs $60.
