  • Tomb Raider Survivor Trailer

Why must this game keep teasing me with this beautiful Lara Croft action?!!  Crystal Dynamics reboot of the series continues to impress with every new bit of video shown. Tomb Raider begat Uncharted and now Uncharted has begat the Tomb Raider reboot.

Tomb Raider releases on March 5, 2013.

  • New Poster For The Wolverine Is Really….Moody

Logan sure does look like a sad samurai in the newest poster for The Wolverine. Let’s hope being based off of Chris Claremont’s classic Wolvie story can get people to forget about X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Nevermind, let’s be honest it can’t be forgotten, let’s say forgiven.

The Wolverine releases on July 26, 2013.

  • New Mass Effect Has A Late 2014- Mid-2015 Release Window

Take heart Mass Effect fans, EA and Bioware are already hard at work on the next game in the series.

The fact there is going to be a new Mass Effect game is no surprise with Bioware’s Casey Hudson tweeting about this back in November but now Mike Gamble, producer on Mass Effect 3, has given the game a very early release window.

“Late 2014 to mid-2015. I honestly can’t tell you an exact because full development on the game started a month or two ago.”

So I guess we can be pretty safe to say that the next title in the franchise will be on next-gen consoles. The game will be a completely new story not involving Commander Shepard (for obvious reasons). It has not been announced if the title will be a prequel or a true sequel.

Gamble went on to talk about the use of a new engine for the game and more.

“The game isn’t far along in development so I can’t comment on specifics because they isn’t any yet. Frostbite 2 is a really good game engine that we are also using on Dragon Age 3. As far as release date, there’s nothing to be announced yet. You’ll hear more about the new Mass Effect game in 2013.”

  • Pacific Rim Trailer

The first trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s sci-fi flick Pacific Rim has just gone online and it is certainly the most…unique trailer of the big summer movies. A cynical part of me wants to pre-judge this movie but yet when I watch it there is the kid in me that said it is giant robots fighting giant monsters just shut up and have fun. Is anyone else getting an adult Power Rangers vibe off of the preview?

Pacific Rim releases on July 12, 2013.

  • New Man Of Steel Trailer

The new trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel has just gone online and say what you will but the movie looks nothing short of beautiful. I am always one that grows tired of origin stories in comic movies but I could not help but watch this and want to go see it now. Let’s hope that Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder are guiding this character into movie relevance again.

Man of Steel releases on June 14, 2013.

  • New Trailer For The Lone Ranger Is Here

Disney has just released the second trailer for their big summer revival of The Lone Ranger. If you were hoping for a whole lot of Johnny Depp playing an Indian then you are in for a treat. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you are looking forward to this or, like me, are getting a Jonah Hex vibe off of it with all the resurrection stuff.

The Lone Ranger releases on July 3, 2013.

  • Gears Of War: Judgment VGA Trailer

While founders of Epic may be leaving left and right Gears of War: Judgment is still roadie running its way to release. The new trailer shows Baird and his group being put on trial for events that should take place in the game 30 days after E-Day. Developer People Can Fly have a lot to live up to gameplay wise but from what has been shown they seem to be keeping everything strictly Gears. If it’s not broke…

Take a look at the trailer below.

Gears of War; Judgment releases on March 19, 2013.

  • South Park: The Stick Of Truth VGA Trailer

South Park: The Stick of Truth may be THQ’s saving grace. That is if the company can last long enough to release the game. The new trailer shown during the VGA’s is not exactly kid friendly but really what did you expect? Obsidian has done a great job making the game look exactly like an episode of the show and you can tell that Matt Stone and Trey Parker have not just phoned in the script or voice overs. I can count six or seven good laughs in this trailer so that gives me hope that this game can put the awful memory of my wasted money on South Park 64 behind me.

And yes, if you bought that game you would feel hurt too.

South Park: The Stick of Truth was originally scheduled for release on March 5, 2013 but was delayed to sometime after April.
