  • Has Assassin’s Creed IV Leaked Already?

Oops. Seems like Kotaku may have uncovered a bit of spoilery news pertaining to the next game in the Assassin’s Creed series.

A picture they have posted show a promotional poster for Assassin’s Creed IV: Blag Flag which has a pirate themed assassin which matches up with some of the earlier rumors which suggested that theme and would be taking place in the Caribbean. So for those of you that the naval battles were your favorite part of [amazon_link id=”B0050SXFKE” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Assassin’s Creed 3[/amazon_link] this will be happy news if this proves to be true.

Now if the guys at Ubisoft were promotional wizards they would combine this game with ads for Black Flag bug spray.

  • Del Toro Ready To Get Dark Universe Rolling

It may seem like Guillermo Del Toro has 65 projects going at once, but you would be wrong. It is closer to 80. Now the producer and director has given an update on his Dark Universe movie which will team up Swamp Thing, John Constantine, Deadman and more in a supernatural team-up film. In an interview with Total Film Del Toro had this to say:

“I am going to be presenting my storyline to DC and Warners of where I want to take this universe. We do have a writer, but until that is firmed up, I have to keep it a secret. I hope it happens. It’s going really really well. It’s like meeting old friends. I grew up with Demon Etrigan, with Swamp Thing, with Deadman, so these are characters that are near and dear to my heart. I’d love to use the origins that are proper to each character. I love the idea of Jason Blood as a paladin and a knight…. I love the entire Constantine mythology, the Dead Man mythology, the Alex Holland Swamp Thing mythology. These are really rich things to well, and to dig.”

OK fans of any of these characters you should really be hoping that Del Toro’s big summer flick Pacific Rim is a monstrous hit because this is going to be a hard sell for any director, but a big summer blockbuster may help Del Toro get into the minds of the Warner execs to give this movie a shot.

  • Pepper Potts Looks Somber In New Iron Man 3 Poster

Hell wouldn’t you if you were holding your boyfriend’s metal shell of a head? Gwyneth Paltrow joins Don Cheadle, Guy Perace and Ben Kingsley to get the single poster treatment for Marvel’s threequel.

Marvel can keep preaching that Iron Man 3 is not going to be a darker movie, but the trailers, posters and director (Shane Black) are saying otherwise. Now I am not saying this will go into Dark Knight “pit of despair” stuff, but it certainly looker to be much bleaker than the first two films.

Iron Man 3 releases on May 3rd.

  • Fantastic Four Reboot Gains X-Men: First Class Director

Suddenly this Fantastic Four reboot is looking like the real deal. First they brought on Chronicle director Josh Trank to take head of the “world’s greatest comic magazine” and now it appears Fox’s head honcho for all things Marvel, Mark Millar, has pulled off another great move.

Millar tweeted that Matthew Vaughn, director of X-Men: First Class and early favorite for the new Star Wars film, has been brought on to produce the film. It does seem like an odd move for Vaughn. He was set to return for the First Class sequel Days of Future’s Past, but dropped out without warning and was replaced with Bryan Singer. Now he is back in with Marvel and Fox only as a producer.

Casting has not begun or a release date given for the new Fantastic Four.

  • Spidey’s New Costume Revealed For Amazing Spider-Man 2

The good folks over at ComingSoon.net have revealed the first shot of Spider-Man’s new duds. Maybe the people that complained about Spider-Man’s costume in [amazon_link id=”B008QZ5PY2″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Amazing Spider-Man[/amazon_link], even though it looked quite great, will be pleased.

Is this more to your liking?? Bigger eye holes that are decidedly white and a more 3-D looking spider on the chest straight out of Ultimate Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone return for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which sees Spidey facing off against Electro played by Academy Award winner LaWanda from In Living Color, Jamie Foxx. Paul Giamatti may or may not play Rhino which has to be a better gig than his Sideways co-star Thomas Hayden Church got in Spider-Man 3 as Sandman right?

    The Amazing Spider-Man 2 releases on May 2, 2014.

If you are looking for another MMO to jump into and mill around in then this may hit the spot. Steam has made Age of Conan: Unchained free to play for all PC Steam users.

You can also receive the DLC packs at a discount too if you want to take your adventures in Hyboria more in depth.

There should be a “by Crom” joke in here somewhere, but it escapes me.

  • Jason Momoa Turns Down Guardians

Well it seems like the allure of a big box office wasn’t enough to lure Khal Drogo to the Marvel Universe.

Jason Momoa has turned down the role of Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Reports are that the Marvel offer to the actor was quite low, but that has been the story with a lot of actors in Marvel movies (see: Terrence Howard).

I understand the move by Momoa wanting more money, but let’s face it, sometimes you should bite the bullet to get the exposure. Conan and Bullet to the Head didn’t exactly burn up the box office and seeing as how Khal Drogo was a one season affair in Game of Thrones, being in a Marvel flick would have been serious exposure.

Marvel will now go back to their previous list of actors for the role that included Dave Bautista, Isaiah Mustafa and Brian Patrick Wade.
