  • Zombieland TV Show Trailer And First Episode Available

There are two ways this is going to go. People will either realize that we are never going to get a Zombieland 2 and accept that this show is the closest thing to it or there will be massive bitching about how the characters don’t look right and you could never replace Woody Harrelson and blah, blah, blah.

Since I think we all know which one of those will prevail I will just go ahead and say that I chuckled a few times watching the trailer. I will give the first episode a try since it is free on Amazon and if I like it, I like it.

    Commence the bitching.

  • Disney Hopes You’re Ready For A Whole Lot More Star Wars

And by a lot of Star Wars, I mean a metric shit ton of Star Wars.

Disney announced today at CinemaCon that they plan on releasing a Star Wars film every year beginning with Episode VII in 2015. They would alternate years with a movie in the new trilogy and one of the standalone films the next summer.

J.J. Abrams is hard at work with pre-production of Episode VII which we will just call The Phantom Nerfherder for now and screenwriters Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinburg are rumored to be working on one or more of the stand alone films which are shrouded in even more mystery than Episode VII.

Now I love me some Star Wars, but damn Disney. Every year? No matter how big the property is there is going to be a saturation point and people will stop caring. The prequels did enough damage to the legacy of Star Wars so let’s pull back the reins a bit. Star Wars movies are an event. If we get one every year for at the very least next six years beginning in 2015, people (like me) could get very tired, very quickly.

Honestly I would rather get to play 1313 and get a new trilogy.

  • First Video Of The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past 2

    http://youtu.be/6oaS9yBGbmU

We brought you some shots yesterday from A Link to the Past 2, but here is the official announcement video which features the first look at gameplay of the 3DS sequel.

With Fire Emblem and Luigi‘s Mansion both selling huge and Mario Party, Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, Bravely Default, Donkey Kong Country Returns and A Link to the Past 2 coming it is hard to deny that the 3DS has the best looking lineup of any system going right now.

  • True Grit Meets The Dead In R.I.P.D.

    ripd-trailer-04172013-181856

Easiest way to describe the first trailer for R.I.P.D.? Imagine if Ryan Reynolds and Rooster Cogburn were supernatural police officers keeping the dead out of the living world.

I can easily see how some will roll their eyes and cringe at the almost Men In Black feel to it, but I got a kick out of it. Plus, Jeff Bridges doing an almost Rooster voice for two more hours is completely fine by me.

    R.I.P.D. releases on July 19th.

  • Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Live Action Trailer Is A Real Thing. An Amazingly Real Thing.

If you thought the mere fact that you would get to play a game like Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was where your 80’s journey would stop, you were way off the mark. This live action trailer titled “The Cyber War” shows exactly how humanity’s war with the androids began. There are VHS tapes, a neon katana blade fight and the thought that you could shield yourself from a nuclear blast by hiding behind a destroyed android carcass.

God I miss the 80’s….then I get on my cell phone and start to play Angry Birds and rethink that. The video is still balls awesome.

  • Nintendo Announces A Link To The Past 2 For The 3DS

Nintendo blew all Zelda fans away this morning on their 3DS direct stream when they announced The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2, a true sequel to the SNES classic. The game will be releasing this holiday for the 3DS. A video will be made available later on the Nintendo eShop and we will have it for you here as soon as we get it.

The game takes place in the same world as A Link to the Past and features new locations and dungeons. Link will possess the ability to turn himself into a 2D sticker to make his way into various places by clinging to walls.

May I personally just say that I apologize to Nintendo for wondering why they would have a direct stream this morning to focus mainly on the 3DS. You have given me new Zelda. I am sorry sir.

  • Michael Rooker Joins Guardians Of The Galaxy, Raises Awesomeness By 200%

Guardians of the Galaxy is shaping up to have one of the most unique casts for a Marvel film by far. Michael Rooker has joined the cast to go along with Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and the (rumored) addition of Zoe Saldana. Rooker will play Yondu, one of the founding members of the Guardians.

Yondu is from Centauri IV and possesses the ability to have empathic relationships with certain lifeforms and can sense when mystical beings and forces are near.

Let’s just all agree that by adding Michael Rooker, Guardians of the Galaxy just got on a lot more radars, specifically fans of The Walking Dead who might not have heard of the Guardians movie. Although I’m sure Yondu won’t be as much fun as Merle and his stump-handed racism.

Guardians of the Galaxy releases on August 1, 2014.

  • First Look At Jamie Foxx As Electro

The first pictures have leaked online of Jamie Foxx as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. For those of you worried about him having to wear a gold and yellow outfit with fake lighting bolts on his mask you can breathe a sigh of relief.

I like the look especially when lit up by the lights on the hoodie and yet I feel we have now only seen the beginning of Jamie Foxx/blue balls jokes. I will not be the ones to start them. That is not to say I will not join in when they get started though.

Check out the rest of the shots on Daily Mail.

    The Amazing Spider-Man 2 releases on May 2, 2014.
