  • Wii U’s First U.S. Commercial Is Here

So Let’s Just Forget About That British Ad.

Check out the first commercial to hit stateside for Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U. There is no denying that is vastly better than the British ad that was release a few weeks ago.

And by vastly better I mean this is completely watchable and doesn’t illicit any laughs at how moronic it is. Nintendo does a good job of conveying how the company hopes the gamepad will change the way you play and watch content.

The Wii U launches on November 18th.

After the avalanche of new games last week, this week is a much different story. Can you blame anyone for not wanting to release against Halo 4? Master Chief is finally back after a five year absence and he has a brand new developer. With Bungie breaking away from Microsoft, the pressure of delivering a new Halo fell to 343 Industries and if early reviews are any account then they have delivered a complete package with a great story and the always engaging multiplayer. We will have our review up as soon as we can.

    [amazon_link id=”B009KG9AL0″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Rockstar Collection-Edition 1[/amazon_link] (360, PS3) $59.99

Rockstar has GTA 5 coming next year so what better way to remind people how great they are then by releasing “best of” collections. The first contains Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City (but no GTA 4, weird), Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire and Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition. So here’s the rundown: one great game (Red Dead), one good game (Noire), a good racer (Midnight) and a couple of good expansions for a great game (Episodes). Pretty good job Rockstar. Now can I have my GTA: Vice City HD remake?

    [amazon_link id=”B0053BCMAC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Paper Mario: Sticker Star[/amazon_link] (3DS) $39.99

Do you like your Mario with some RPG added in? Paper Mario is here to help you out. This newest in the Paper Mario series goes back to the turned based combat like the first two games in the series. Mario will have to find various stickers during his adventure to battle enemies as well as alter the environment to access new areas. 3DS keeps spacing out its big releases and should have a big holiday due to games like Paper Mario.

    [amazon_link id=”B0050SX00Y” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Little Big Planet Karting[/amazon_link] (PS3) $59.99

What? You say you didn’t know that Little Big Planet had a karting game coming out? It’s Sony so of course you didn’t. Open up your poppit and get racing with Sackboy (or girl) along with all the creation tools that has made LBP so popular. And yes this is a PS3 only title even though it sounds perfect for the Vita. Here’s hoping we get a handheld version down the road.

Get ready for next week. Not only does a little game called Call of Duty arrive but we also get Epic Mickey 2, Sony’s Wonderbook and the Nintendo Wii U is almost upon us. We will have a special release list for Wii U to go along with our normal releases next week.

    Happy gaming!!!

  • Who Wants To Work On Watch Dogs? Here’s Your Chance.

Ubisoft Throws Out A ‘Help Wanted’ Sign.

Remember Watch Dogs? The game that surprised everyone at E3 earlier this year with its amazing look and ability to hack everything from cell phones to city maintenance to change red lights while making getaways? Well Ubisoft has been very tight lipped since the initial reveal but now they are back with a new video that does not show a lot more than what we have already seen but does have an interesting offer attached to it.

The video shows interviews from designers that are working on the game telling what they hope to accomplish with this new IP and at the end of the video is a web address for anyone interested in helping craft this new world.

No release date has been announced for Watch Dogs or what systems it will be coming to. This late in the console cycle I still maintain it will be a next-gen title.

  • Watch Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn In Its Entirety

All Five Episodes Just In Time For Halo 4.

So if you have been hiding away somewhere secluded you may have missed the news that Halo 4 is releasing this Tuesday, November 6th. The reviews have been in the ” great” to “near-perfect” range with some calling it the greatest of all the Halo games.

To celebrate the release, 343 Industries have been releasing a five part live-action Halo series on Machinima and Halo Waypoint called Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. The series focuses on Thomas Lasky and a group of cadets in training just before the Covenant attack. The series is told in flashbacks from Lasky, who has since become the commander of the UNSC Infinity, as he looks back at how Master Chief inspired him to become the soldier he is.

I am sure Halo fans have already watched the series but it is also a good entry point for people wanting to get a little more familiar with the Halo universe. It is very well made and gets better and better with each episode. Take some time and check out the entire series below.
