How fast can a game go from “I will pick it up sometime” to “gimme gimme gimme”? For this fat nerd it is as easy as making Stan Lee playable in glorious Lego form. He even transforms into The Hulk!

Yes, I do realize how I sound like an annoying child but I don’t really care. It is Stan Lee. As a Lego. And you can play him.

With all the excitement for [amazon_link id=”B00C7103DO” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Batman: Arkham Origins[/amazon_link] it is easy to forget that there is a handheld version coming out for the 3DS and Vita.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is a 2.5D adventure that will take Batman through Gotham’s maximum security prison during a breakout involving The Joker, Penguin and more. I am getting both games at release and will be interested to see how they connect together story wise as well as if the combat can be transferred over to a handheld.

Look at the new trailer below. [amazon_link id=”B00C7103C0″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate[/amazon_link] releases on October 25th.

  • New GTA V Trailer Is Here, The Wait Is Almost Over

Rockstar is just teasing us at this point with this new trailer for [amazon_link id=”B0050SXKU4″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Grand Theft Auto V[/amazon_link]. We are so close to the release date that any new footage we see feels like a cruel joke. This is saying a lot from me because I just could not enjoy GTA IV. It felt to repetitive, the story was boring and it was…well it was GTA. Rockstar looks to be revamping almost everything about the franchise in this game and with the recently announced GTA Online, this game could very well be played for years.

Grand Theft Auto V releases on September 17th.

  • Wii U Getting A Price Drop

    And the heavens open up.

On September 20th you will be able to buy a Wii U for $299.99. The system’s 32GB model will be getting a $50 price reduction and come in two models: the existing set with NintendoLand and a new one that comes with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and a special edition Gamepad.

$50 is not the drastic cut I think the Wii U needs, but it is a start and at least shows that Nintendo knows that something has to be done to save the system. If the drop and a strong fall lineup do not bring up dismal sales, Nintendo is going to have some tough decisions ahead when it comes to the future of the console.

  • Nintendo Reveals The 2DS. This Is Really Happening.

Before you call this bullsh**, just keep reading.

Nintendo has just revealed the 2DS, a non-folding, slate designed handheld that will play all 3DS and DS games, but not feature the 3D function. The system will release on October 12th and cost $129.99. It will come with a 4GB memory card and have all the features of a 3DS including WiFi. A slider at the bottom of the system will put the handheld in sleep mode like closing the 3DS. The screen is the same size as the 3DS, not the XL version.

Nintendo is focusing the 2DS on the young (7 and under) handheld crowd. Many may laugh at this, but Nintendo is the leader of the handheld game market for a reason. This should be a big seller this holiday season especially with the very reasonable $130 price tag.

Now let’s just not get started on the design of the system which is a bit…sandwich looking.

One of the most beloved Zelda titles ever is looking more beautiful with each new video and screenshot and should give Wii U owners a real reason to enjoy their console. God knows they need it.

For those of you, like me, that are a bit disappointed that Killer Instinct will be launching on the [amazon_link id=”B00CMQTVMI” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Xbox One[/amazon_link] with only six fighters, worry not, more are on the way.

Season 2 of the game will release in 2014 and offer a new set of characters. Seasons will continue to be released on a regular basis continually adding to the character roster.

Killer Instinct is being released for the Xbox One at launch as a free title. Jago will be free for everyone to play. Additional fighters will be available for purchase for $4.99 or you can buy one of two packs that will give you every fighter and different bonus content for $19.99 and $39.99.

Is your favorite color blue? If so, how about we be friends because that is my favorite color too.

Have you wanted a blue Playstation 3 for a long time? If so, we are two for two and think we should think about getting a place together.

Sony is releasing this Azurite Blue PS3 as a Gamestop exclusive. It will go on sale on October 8th. Pre-orders are being taken here. It will come with a 250GB hard drive and retail for $249.99.

Or you can buy the 12GB model for $199.99 which Sony calls a “better deal”.

  • Gamestop Managers Will Get Free Playstation 4 And Xbox One

It was announced at the Gamestop Expo in Las Vegas that all Gamestop managers would be receiving a [amazon_link id=”B00CMQTVQO” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Playstation 4[/amazon_link] and seven games as well as an [amazon_link id=”B00CMQTVMI” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Xbox One[/amazon_link].

Personal note: What the fu**? If you are a Gamestop manager it is so great you are getting both consoles. I am happy for you. I guess I just missed the truck full of goodwill from Sony and Microsoft. When I managed an EB Games eight years ago I was lucky to get a nice lanyard from Sony or some Xbox pens. Hell, it was like Christmas morning when Nintendo would throw a free DS game your way.
