  • The Walking Dead Season 4 Trailer Is Un-Fu**ing-Believable

    the_walking_dead_57620

Even for fans that have turned their backs on The Walking Dead, you can not deny that the Season 4 trailer shown at Comic-Con is easily the best the show has ever looked. The main characters are established with Tyreese and Michonne now firmly entrenched in the group and the remnants of the population of Woodbury moved in. Now it appears that someone is secretly compromising the safety of the prison forcing Rick and everyone to think about leaving.

For a fan of the comics (me) this is the closest the show has been in tone and feel to the monthly series since Season 1. I am loving the “solve the mystery” aspect the trailer plays up as the group wonders why the prison is closing in around them.

The Walking Dead returns on October 13th.

A mystery trailer was shown at Hall H today at the San Diego Comic-Con which turned out to be the first teaser for the movie based on the World of Warcraft franchise simply entitled Warcraft. Descriptions were of a knight and an orc going to battle and the screen going black as the death blow comes revealing the movie’s logo.

Director Duncan Jones, who directed the wonderful Moon, came on stage and told everyone of his love of the franchise and announced that the movie would begin production in early 2014.

    before-the-dawn

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will have a big panel at this year’s Comic-Con and to get ready, a new website has opened titled “Before the Dawn”. It features a great new banner for the movie, which you can see above, and also has a short prequel comic embedded on the site when you scroll through.

It does not go into great detail about the years between the films, but it does get you back into the universe of Caesar and the apes rise against humanity.

Check out the site here. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes releases on July 18, 2014.

To those attending the Sherlock panel at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con, they were given a special treat in the form of a video from Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch. Freeman’s message is short and concise thanking fans for coming out and supporting the show while Cumberbatch went in a different direction.

Take a look at the video below and let it reinforce the fact that Cumberbatch is not just the best Sherlock ever, but the best thing going in acting.

  • EA Signs Deal With CLC To Continue College Football Games Without Use Of NCAA Name

It seems that college football will continue in video game form through EA Sports just without the NCAA name or logo.

EA has signed a three-year deal with Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the company that handles marketing and trademark licenses for various universities. With this new deal in place, EA can continue making their yearly college football game, but it will have to be renamed since they will no longer be allowed to use the NCAA name or logo.

The deal is also non-exclusive meaning that other publishers are open to negotiate with the CLC and reach deals to produce their own video games with colleges. This could end up being the best part of the entire NCAA/EA fallout. Competition brings better games to the table and maybe if another company makes a deal to get another college football game out we, the consumers, may get multiple good games out of it.

Merry Christmas Batman. Here is another assassin hired by the Black Mask to try and end your life as Santa makes his way around the world.

This new video introduces Copperhead who seems to have grown a pair of tits and is still as deadly as her comic male counterpart. If each of these videos is going to show every assassin beating Batman’s ass then he is not going to be worth a sh** by the time [amazon_link id=”B00C7103DO” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Batman: Arkham Origins[/amazon_link] releases on October 25th.

  • Game Of Thrones Figures Are Finally On The Way!

Dark Horse revealed the first two figures in their Game of Thrones line at the San Diego Comic-Con set for release early next year.

Jon Snow and Daenerys will be released in January and retail for $24.99 each. They stand 7.5″ tall and come with their own mini-stand. They remind me a lot of the McFarlane Toys line of LOST figures which I still proudly have my Mr. Eko and Jin displayed today.

More figures will follow next year with Khal Drogo, Tyrion and Ned Stark making their way to shelves in May and five more unnamed characters throughout the rest of the year. May I suggest the Cersei and Jaime incest 2-pack?

Well today we get our first look at the [amazon_link id=”B00BGHUS58″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Watch Dogs[/amazon_link] Limited Edition and while the game may be different, it looks mighty similar to Assassin’s Creed 4’s. Here is the rundown and how it matches the pirate booty from AC4.

    -A big,black box (check)

-9″ statue of Aiden Pearce (it’s a new franchise so no 18″ statue…yet)

-Aiden Pearce vigilante mask (or a tiny pirate flag)

    -80-page artbook (yep)

    -Steelbook game case (of course)

    -Game soundtrack

-The actual game (cause you kind of need that)

The set will cost $129.99 and release on November 19th.
