  • Brand New Red Band Trailer For We’re The Millers

We are under a week away the release of We’re the Millers. I have been looking forward to this more than any comedy release this year and this new red band trailer simply re-affirms that thought.

Jason Sudeikis, sporting a beautiful porn stache, and the dirty-thought inducing Jennifer Aniston introduce the trailer which is a mix of scenes from the previous red band trailer and some new hilarious footage.

Why am I looking forward to this so much? Two red bands trailers and I have teared up laughing at both. Works for me.

We’re the Millers releases on August 7th.

  • Pacific Rim Sideshow Collectibles Statues Look Beautiful, Will Require Second Mortgage

If you know me then you know I love Pacific Rim. More than I should. It struck the right chord in the theater and made me feel like I was 10 again watching a big, bombastic action movie. Now Sideshow Collectibles are trying to test my love with these new statues based on the movie.

How is that possible you might ask?

Well, while the statues of Gipsey Danger and the knife-head Kaiju are a wonder to behold, they also will cost a sweat-inducing $400 a piece. I am gonna need some more incentive for a purchase like that. If I pay 800 bucks for two statues I better get a romantic dinner with Charlie Hunnam while Charlie Day sings The Nightman Cometh by candle light.

Check out Sideshow Collectible’s site for a full gallery on both statues.

  • Tomb Raider Sequel Officially In Development

    2013_lara_croft_tomb_raider-wide

It is now official, we will see more of Lara Croft.

Really there was little doubt after this year’s [amazon_link id=”B004FS8LYK” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Tomb Raider[/amazon_link] reboot garnered great reviews and sold extremely well despite the fact Square complained about the sales numbers. It must be hard for them to admit that their western arm is the only thing keeping their company afloat.

CEO Phil Rogers has sent out an open letter confirming the sequel is already in development for next-gen consoles.

“I am also excited to reveal that we are well into development on a next-generation Tomb Raider sequel – something you may have heard about recently.”

The game was loved by everyone here as we did a dual review for the game and both reviews agreed upon an 8.5. Even as I played the game, I remember being excited about what the development team could do with next generation hardware and I am glad we will get a chance to see.

Darrell Gallagher, head of product development at Square spoke on giving fans even more the second time around:

“It’s still early days, so I’m afraid I can’t provide any further details for now save my assurance that we’re not resting on our laurels and acclaim from Tomb Raider’s recent successes, but working hard to raise the bar even higher and re-affirm the faith you’ve shown.”

  • Watch Drunk Ron Weasley Wish Harry Potter A Happy Birthday

Yesterday was Harry Potter’s 33rd birthday. We were born only a month a part and while he is a fictional character who defeated a dark lord and is world famous and banging Ginny Weasley, I am writing pithy comments about Playstations and X-Men.

Jimmy Fallon celebrated Harry’s name day by having his good friend Ron Weasley, who oddly looks like Sgt. Nicholas Angel, wish him the very best of birthdays.

We are only a few days away from a new trailer for Thor: The Dark World and today Marvel has released a new poster to get the thunder god talk going.

Literally every character is on this poster. It will be one of those posters that you want to take a glance at while you are at the theater, but can’t get to because of the two fu**tards that stand in front of it and analyze every single person on the damn thing.

Thor: The Dark World releases on November 8th.

  • Monopoly And Risk Get The Walking Dead Treatment

Now here is a reason to get back playing board games. USAopoly has announced The Walking Dead versions of Monopoly and Risk that put a zombie spin on the games.

Risk will feature a map of the southeastern region of the United States (where the comic is based) and new decks of Event and Supply Cards will add the strategy to the classic game as you try to escape zombie hordes.

Monopoly will give players new tokens to choose from including: Michonne’s Katana, Dale’s RV, bucket of body parts, Rick’s hat, a telephone and the now infamous Lucille. Properties have been changed as well to include some of the series most recognizable environments like Woodbury, Greene Farmhouse and The Kingdom.

Risk retails for $49.99 and Monopoly will cost $39.99.

  • WWE 2K14 Gets Phenomenal

Uber-fans of The Undertaker rejoice, 2K is releasing the WWE 2K14 Phenom Edition this fall. The set will retail for $100 and comes with a coffin full of goodies.

    Here’s the rundown:

    -Coffin Tin Box

-“American Badass” Undertaker as a playayble character

    -Undertaker controller skin

    -Art card autographed by Undertaker

-Disc 1 of Undertaker: The Streak on Blu-Ray or DVD

    -The game (no sh**)

-Ultimate Warrior playable character (also available with pre-order of game)

Collector’s Editions are all the rage, but I can not see paying a hundred bucks for this set. I will be able to download the American Badass character at a later date and the tin is only going to be useful for holding used movie tickets or pot. The controller skin may gum up your controller and you are only getting one disc of a three-disc set.

Although the pot holding tin idea should have at least convinced three of you to purchase this.

    [amazon_link id=”B00CMC6HCY” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]WWE 2K14[/amazon_link] releases on October 29th.

  • Star Wars: Battlefront To Release In 2015?

One of EA’s most anticipated games is easily Star Wars: Battlefront which is being taken over by Battlefield developers DICE. A teaser was shown at E3 and nerd joy was renewed knowing that we will one day again be able to kill as many Ewoks as we want in team-based combat.

During the EA annual stockholders meeting, CFO Blake Jorgensen gave a possible release window for the revival of the title. He said the title “most likely come out around the same time that the Star Wars movies start to come out, probably in the summer of ’15.”

I’ll leave this handy video here to remind everyone of how much time was lost by me and others to the Battlefront series.

Microsoft certainly has a long way to go in matching Games with Gold to PS Plus, but the August offerings are certainly a step in the right direction.
