    While we all sit and ponder on exactly how Agent Coulson is being brought back from the dead, let’s rejoice knowing that the music will be in very good hands.

    Bear McCreary, who composes music for The Walking Dead and Defiance as well as the iconic music for Battlestar Galactica, will be handling the music side of Marvel’s TV venture. Here is hoping he can create a theme as memorable and set the tone for the show like he did for BSG and The Walking Dead.

    Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air Tuesday nights at 7PM CST this fall on ABC.

    Now that ABC has officially picked up Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (was there any doubt?), we can all begin salivating over the trailer that was just released for it and not so patiently wait for September to exactly figure out how Coulson lives.

    Joss Whedon directed the pilot and will consult and produce the rest of the first season.

  • The S.H.I.E.L.D. TV Pilot Is Filming Now

    Joss Whedon and company have begun filming the pilot episode for the S.H.I.E.L.D. television series. Whedon has written the pilot and also began writing multiple episodes even though the series has not been officially picked up yet. ABC Studios is expected to pick it up after the pilot is filmed and screened.

    The biggest question on everyone’s minds is how exactly does Agent Phil Coulson figure into the show. Clark Gregg has already confirmed that he is on the show so whether he is shown in flashbacks, cloned, brought back from the dead or any one of a thousand other ways to bring him back is a mystery. I hope they do the Coulson character’s return justice because his death was the emotional catalyst for [amazon_link id=”B0083SBJXS” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Avengers[/amazon_link] and  would lose something if he was brought back cheaply, but this is Joss Whedon so I am assuming the best.
