  • Why Is Patrick Stewart Amazing? He Can Give Me Goosbumps Over FIFA 14

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world for a reason, but I am thinking that if Patrick Stewart narrated every video involving it that there would be a hell of a lot more adopters. Hell, Capt. Picard makes me want to play this damn game just because of this video. I wish he would take paying jobs to narrate people’s days.

“He wakes up feeling lonely and cold. Yet, he realizes that when he heads out into the vast world just beyond his door that his feelings will quickly change, for everyday is a new adventure, a journey that is wrapped inside of a single day. There is nothing more important than the realization that there is only one you and you can change…everything…everyday.”

And that’s just waking up in the morning!

Also, Microsoft announced that everyone that pre-orders an [amazon_link id=”B00CMQTVMI” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Xbox One[/amazon_link] in Europe will get a copy of [amazon_link id=”B00CX7FMDS” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]FIFA 14[/amazon_link] for free. Of course, that helps us here in America as much as putting on socks to walk on glass.

  • Peter Dinklage Cast In X-Men: Days Of Future’s Past (UPDATED)

Sundance 2011 Moving Pictures Media Studio

So as if I wasn’t already excited enough for Bryan Singer’s return to the X-Men franchise, today brings this bit of information. Singer has brought on Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage for a role in X-Men:First Class. Rumors abound that he will play Puck, a member of the Alpha Flight team. For those unfamiliar, Alpha Flight is Canada’s version of The Avengers which included member like Northstar and Sasquatch.

Of course these are all just rumors and there are any number of characters that Dinklage could be in line to play. If the Puck rumor does pan out it would certainly seem like Mark Millar is hard at work in his new job to try and expand 20th Century Fox’s Marvel universe.

X-Men: Days of Future’s Past releases on July 18, 2014 and stars Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence and Peter effing Dinklage.

    UPDATE!!!

Reports are now confirming that Dinklage is being cast to play a villain in the First Class sequel, so the dreams of Puck fans everywhere may be thwarted. Sorry Canada.

  • Ellen Page, Anna Paquin And Shawn Ashmore Are X-Men Again

So can we now officially say that Bryan Singer is making the biggest X-Men movie ever? The director already has the returning cast of X-Men: First Class, including Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence as well as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan and Hugh Jackman reprising their roles. Singer has just announced that three more X-movie alumni are returning for X-Men: Days of Future’s Past.

Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Shawn Ashmore will be donning their suits once again as Kitty Pryde, Rogue and Iceman. All we need now is for Tyler Mane and Liev Schreiber to have a celebrity deathmatch to see which one gets to play Sabretooth and let’s not forget that Vinnie Jones is only a phone call away to play Juggernaut again.

X-Men: Days of Future’s Past is based on Chris Claremont’s legendary 1981 story where the X-Men have to stop a future event from happening that causes mutants to be kept prisoners in a dystopian future. It is set for release on July 18, 2014.

  • X-Men: First Class Sequel Welcomes Old Friends

Director Bryan Singer tweeted some welcome news yesterday and confirmed that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan were both returning to the X-Men franchise as Professor X and Magneto respectively.

While many thought this would happen with the newest X-Men flick being based on Chris Claremont’s classic Days of Future’s Past story it is good to see the director of the first two X-Men flicks get part of the band back together for the movie.

So not only do you have James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender returning but now Stewart and McKellan as well as Singer back directing. How can this possibly not be awesome?
