So a funny thing happens in this video. Marshawn Lynch’s personality makes a rare appearance showing that he really hates sports reporters and not everyone.
Conan, Marshawn and human fuckstick Rob Gronkowski truly become disgusted by Mortal Kombat X’s fatalities. That shows me that the game is well on its way to guaranteeing itself a spot in my console.
Gather the kids around the screen to see the new trailer for Mortal Kombat which has our first footage of Kitana and Kung Lao throwing hats and fans around like they are going out of style.
The trailer ends with a look at Kitana’s fatality that in no way involves someone’s skull cap falling off and ends with a look at Goro, who appears intimidating as hell until you realize that Johnny Cage and Sonya’s daughter will just punch him in the nuts and kick him off a mountain.
Quan Chi will be returning for Mortal Kombat X. He was announced today along with a new video that showcases his powers, x-ray move and fatality. He will have three play styles (Sorcerer, Warlock & Summoner) that each give him unique ways to take down his opponent.
Mortal Kombat X releases on April 14, 2015.
That fatality…damn. He always gets the best of them.
NetherRealm will release Mortal Kombat X, the tenth installment in the franchise in case you couldn’t tell, on April 14, 2015 and along with the date comes the news that Goro will be a playable character in the new game.
Goro will be available as a pre-order bonus which may piss off some people, but really, just go pay five bucks and get the four-armed bastard.
Remember the first Mortal Kombat movie? Looking kind of close.
E3 is over. While that may make you sad to hear, remember that E3 is not the end all of gaming shows. Hell, if we are being honest it is barely holding onto third best show after Gamescom and PAX and followed by TGS in fourth.
If this year’s E3 taught us anything it was that 2015 is going to be a clusterfu** of amazing games. There are plenty of fun times ahead this year with Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Destiny, Shadow of Mordor, Alien: Isolation, Super Smash Bros. and the like, but if we are being honest, companies were squarely focused on the huge titles that will (presumably) be in consoles next year.
If most of these titles hold serve and release next year, 2015 will be one of the biggest years in video game history. Take a look at the lineup expected to hit next year.

Will all of these be released next year? Doubtful (I am looking at you Zelda and Battlefront). Yet, there is an over-abundance of triple-A titles coming in 2015 and then you add in the dozens of indie titles coming, you won’t be able to throw a fat guy in any direction without hitting a good game.
But really, if you can throw a fat guy any kind of distance you should not be playing games. Maybe do those ESPN strong man competitions. Chop wood, flip tires, have a really long name that sounds like an angry German screaming.
Mortal Kombat X was revealed only a few short days ago with a beautiful trailer (which you can see below) that shows how pretty fighting to the death can be. Now we already have the box art for the game which is not supposed to see release until sometime in 2015.
The cover features Scorpion because, Mortal Kombat.
I loved 2011’s Mortal Kombat and am more than ready for next-gen fatalities. Maybe some friendships too.
Mortal Kombat Legacy was a big success in 2011 for director Kevin Tancharoen. Big enough that Warner Bros. not only gave him a chance for a second season of the show but also the directing job for a new Mortal Kombat feature film. Now Season 2 of Mortal Kombat Legacy is almost upon us and here is the first trailer.
A lot of new additions have been made for Season 2 both in characters and actors. Ermac, Stryker and more will be joining the series and some roles will be filled by new actors most notably Johnny Rico himself Casper Van Dien as Johnny Cage and Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa reprising his role of Shang Tsung from the first Mortal Kombat film.
There will be ten episodes of Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2 and each will average around eight minutes in length. The series can be seen on Machinima.com.
Have no fear DC fans, NetherRealm is making sure that [amazon_link id=”B0088I7L76″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Injustice: Gods Among Us[/amazon_link] is no Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. The developers behind the incredibly fun Mortal Kombat reboot are putting the finishing touches on their follow-up fighter starring the characters of the DC Universe.
A new trailer for the game reveals the basics for the story mode. If you thought Injustice was going to be a simple player one vs. player two fight fest then you were wrong. NetherRealm is including a fully fleshed out story, like Mortal Kombat’s, that sees The Joker planning to detonate a nuclear device in Metropolis. It shows heroes and villains forging unlikely alliances as the world crumbles around them.
A big part of why the recent reboot of Mortal Kombat was so fun was its over the top story mode. I hope that with the wealth of DC characters in the game that Injustice’s story can easily surpass MK’s.
[amazon_link id=”B0088I7L76″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Injustice: Gods Among Us[/amazon_link], the new fighting game from Mortal Kombat producers NetherRealm and starring characters from DC Comics will be released on April 16th. Along with that news, WB Game unveiled a second collector’s set for the game to go along with the one announced last year which you can see below. This new set is called the ‘Battle Edition’ and will ship with the game, three special character skins for in-game use from DC’s New 52 and a custom fight stick with game artwork.
The ‘Battle Edition’ will cost you a cool $149.99 and the Collector’s Edition will be $99.99 (and features Batman having Wonder Woman in a choke hold, so worth the price).
[amazon_link id=”B002I0J5FG” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Shadow of the Colossus[/amazon_link] is one of those games, like Journey, that is squarely in the forefront of the “games as art” argument, so I still have mixed feelings about if a movie based on the property should be made. As we all know most video game movies are, shall we say, less than stellar (except for the first [amazon_link id=”B004MA1K1W” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Mortal Kombat[/amazon_link], you know it’s still awesome). I can only imagine basing a movie on Shadow of the Colossus may be like asking a five year old with watercolors to copy Starry Night.
If there is a small glimmer of hope it is that the director, Josh Trank, has made a pretty good movie (Chronicle) and now they have gotten Seth Lochhead to write a new script. Lochhead had previously written the movie [amazon_link id=”B005CMSDKA” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Hanna[/amazon_link], about the girl from The Lovely Bones being trained as a bada** assassin by her dad, Nero from Star Trek. Now whether he can convey the emotions that the game did remains to be seen and that is a big part of if this will be successful or not.
