We owe our good health to a humble parasite – a genetically engineered tapeworm developed by the pioneering SymboGen Corporation. When implanted, the Intestinal Bodyguard worm protects us from illness, boosts our immune system – even secretes designer drugs. It’s been successful beyond the scientists’ wildest dreams. “Cassie’s world has been at peace since the Great Armistice of 1918. There was no World War II, no Great Depression. Poverty is declining, prosperity is increasing everywhere; social instability is rare. But Cassie knows the world isn’t what it seems. Her parents were part of a group who gradually discovered the awful truth: that for decades—back to the dawn of radio communications—human progress has been interfered with, made more peaceful and benign, by an extraterrestrial entity. That by interfering with our communications, this entity has tweaked history in massive and subtle ways. That humanity is, for purposes unknown, being farmed.”

    ku-xlarge

Playskool is releasing a Doctor Who version of Mr. Potato Head which completely kills the Don Rickles voice that is always in my head from Toy Story. The exiting eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith, gets the honors of being the basis for the toy.

Order yours here and read the rather unique description below.

The Eleventh Doctor as played by “MASH” Smith! Hop in the TARDIS with Mr. Potato Head as he pays homage to the last known survivor of “Galli-Fry”, DOCTOR WHO in his quirky eleventh incarnation! Set comes complete with 8 removable parts and pieces.

  • Peter Capaldi Is The 12th Doctor

    untitled

The wait is finally over and the 12th Doctor will be Peter Capaldi.

The 55-year old actor will be taking over for Matt Smith whose last appearance will be in the Doctor Who Christmas Special. Capaldi certainly is a departure from the previous few Doctors, but a welcome one. A little less rock star and a little more gravitas. Capaldi was most recently seen in this summer’s World War Z and starred in the BBC comedy series The Thick of It.

What do you think Who fans? Are you excited about the 12th Doctor?

The wait is almost over Doctor Who fans. This Sunday BBC will air a live special announcing who will be taking the place of exiting 11th Doctor, Matt Smith. Smith will be joined by series showrunner Steven Moffat for the announcement of the man or woman who will take over the role.

    Quick question:

If David Tennant is announced to be returning to the role will people be?

    A. Excited.

    B. Disappointed that it is not a new actor.

    C. Wonder why there has not been a female Doctor yet?

Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor will air Sunday, August 4th at 7PM GMT in the U.K. and BBC America will show the announcement live at 2PM EST.

Here are my quick fire guesses…GO!
