    One thing you can say about Ubisoft is that you damn sure know when their new big game is coming out. Assassin’s Creed IV hits next week and the video releases are on overload. Here are two new ones to get you more excited about your pirate adventure.

    The first is a TV commercial and gives stories to each of Edward Kenway’s tattoos. Hint: most involve violence. The second is an official launch trailer with a lot of pretty looking locales and swashbuckling.

  • New Assassin’s Creed IV Trailer Tells The Tale Of Edward Kenway

    Dammit, Assassin’s Creed. Stop making me want you! I said I was done! Then you come in all tempting with being a pirate and a large open world from the team that made Far Cry 3 (my GOTY in 2012). You know no one can say no to being a pirate, dammit! I want to punch you in your beautiful pirate face!

    Anyway, here is another trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV that focuses on main character Edward Kenway and his reasoning for his life choices.

  • Assassin’s Creed IV Has A Season Pass, Announces Freedom Cry DLC

    To the surprise of no one, Ubisoft has announced a Season Pass for [amazon_link id=”B00BMFIXKQ” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Assassin’s Creed IV[/amazon_link] which will include the single player DLC, Freedom Cry. You will play the part of Adewale, Edward Kenway’s friend on the Jackdaw as he is caught in the slaving community. Never let it be said that the franchise is not afraid to take on sensitive subjects.

    The $20 Season Pass will also include new missions, skins, weapons, the Kraken ship pack and more characters in multiplayer. It will save 20% over buying it all separately.

    Assassin’s Creed IV releases on October 29th.

  • New Assassin’s Creed IV Video Shows Edward Kenway And His Pirate Friends

    How about another video for Assassin’s Creed IV? It’s almost like Ubisoft wants to remind you that the game is coming out soon. This time you get to know the other pirates that will interact with the game’s protagonist Edward Kenway including the legendary Blackbeard. There is no new gameplay footage, but it is still a good intro to the variety of character that will be in the game.

  • New Assassin’s Creed IV Video Focuses On Stealth

    Ubisoft has released a new video for Assassin’s Creed IV detailing the use of stealth in the various missions you will find across the game including the exploration of hidden caverns. You also see the virtual Havana they have created and how smooth the parkour gameplay looks when traversing from rooftop to rooftop. I pray that this is the first Assassin’s Creed that can fix the climbing controls because for a series that relies so heavily on it, it has always seemed too stiff.

  • Gamestop Offers $50 Trade-In Credit For Swapping Games To Xbox One

    Gamestop is actually offering a pretty good deal when it comes to upgrading your games to the [amazon_link id=”B00CMQTVMI” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Xbox One[/amazon_link] this fall. The retailer will guarantee you a $50 trade-in credit on certain games when they are bought within 30 days of release. Effectively this makes an upgrade to an Xbox One copy of the game only $10. You must be a Power Up Rewards member to take advantage of this deal.

    In this new video posted by Eurogamer we get a good look at Assassin’s Creed IV’s shark hunting. The more I watch of ACIV and the more I see they are bringing in my favorite parts of [amazon_link id=”B0050SXX88″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Far Cry 3[/amazon_link] it is really going to piss me off even more if this game does not live up to the hype like Assassin’s Creed 3.

    I am pretty sure people will be wondering what the hell is going on when they randomly hear me yell “ROY SCHEIDER!!!” every time I harpoon a shark.

  • Does This 13 Minutes Of Assassin’s Creed IV Make You Want To Be A Pirate?

    Ubisoft has released a 13 minute video showcasing many different aspects of the new gameplay in [amazon_link id=”B00BMFIXOW” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Assassin’s Creed IV[/amazon_link] including a whole lot of boat play aboard the Jackdaw.

    The open-world Caribbean looks very impressive and the real-time weather effects (especially the waterspouts) makes traversing the oceans a hazardous place.
