The good folks over at ComingSoon.net have revealed the first shot of Spider-Man’s new duds. Maybe the people that complained about Spider-Man’s costume in [amazon_link id=”B008QZ5PY2″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Amazing Spider-Man[/amazon_link], even though it looked quite great, will be pleased.

Is this more to your liking?? Bigger eye holes that are decidedly white and a more 3-D looking spider on the chest straight out of Ultimate Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone return for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which sees Spidey facing off against Electro played by Academy Award winner LaWanda from In Living Color, Jamie Foxx. Paul Giamatti may or may not play Rhino which has to be a better gig than his Sideways co-star Thomas Hayden Church got in Spider-Man 3 as Sandman right?

    The Amazing Spider-Man 2 releases on May 2, 2014.

  • This Is The End Red Band Clip

Well we are all still here so I guess that’s a good thing.

It is a great thing actually because we get to look forward to Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s This Is The End. The comedy stars James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Jay Baruschel and Craig Robinson (as themselves by the look of the clip) as six friends who are trapped together after a lot of weird and disastrous events happen to the city of Los Angeles. Seth Rogen and James Franco introduce the clip in a most unique way including a question I have always wondered about pleasing one’s self in a bunker.

Two things I take away from this video:

    1. That two people in this movie are Academy Award nominees.

    2. It is just another reminder how awesome Freaks and Geeks was.

This Is The End releases on June 14, 2013.

  • Star Wars Episode VII May Have A Writer

When it was announced last week that Disney was officially making Star Wars Episode VII and they were releasing it in the summer of 2015, my first thought was “they better start hurrying up”. Looks as though Disney is doing just that. Reports are that Oscar winning writer Michael Arndt already has a 40-50 page story treatment for the film and is already at work on the script.

Ardnt is reportedly a huge Star Wars fan and his writing credits include: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine for which he won an Academy Award. It certainly seems like Disney is not taking any process of a new Star Wars film lightly.

Rumors are still rampant on what the story of Episode VII will be. Will it involve older versions of Luke, Han and Leia or new characters all together? There is also the possibility that the movies will negate a lot of the past 30 years of Star Wars novels which would be a calculated risk on Disney’s part.

Having a writer the caliber of Arndt on the project should relieve some fans about the new movie. It certainly does for me. The dude made me tear up in the theater for Toy Story 3.

    Really.

  • Halo 4 ‘Scanned’ Launch Trailer Is Here

Watch The Creation Of A Legend.

Here it is kiddos. The official [amazon_link id=”B0050SYX8W” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Halo 4[/amazon_link] launch trailer titled ‘Scanned’ and produced by Academy Award nominated director David Fincher. But don’t let that scare you off, there aren’t any uncomfortable rape scenes or backwards aging.

Showing Master Chief, who appears to be captured by the new baddies in the game, Prometheans, he begins to have flashbacks to his childhood and various events that have turned him into the world saver he is today.

You can always leave it to Halo to have some of the best made trailers in games and this one surely keeps that tradition alive and well.

Its been a long five years Chief. Welcome back.

    [amazon_link id=”B0050SYX8W” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Halo 4[/amazon_link] releases on November 6th.
