If you are looking to pick up an Xbox 360 for yourself or a Christmas present I would suggest doing it early. As in today. Best Buy is offering the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Bundle that comes with Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports Season Two and Forza Horizon for only $244.99. That is a whopping 40% off the retail of $399.99.
Also, they have Playstation Vita’s for only $179.99 today only.
DC and Marvel go head to head this week with the release of Batman: Arkham Origins and Lego Marvel Super Heroes. Deus Ex returns in a director’s cut and the music video game genre is not completely dead with Rocksmith 2014.
Next week is when it gets big with Assassin’s Creed IV, Battlefield 4 and WWE 2K14. The holiday games have begun.

The Xbox One may be releasing this November but Microsoft is not resting on its 8 year old workhorse, the Xbox 360. Three new bundles will be available this year for you holiday shoppers. Two will include the Kinect and all three come with the Xbox 350 E console.
Bundle 1- Xbox 360 250GB console, Kinect, Kinect Sports: Season 2, Kinect Adventures, Forza Horizon and one month of Xbox Live Gold- $399.99
Bundle 2- Xbox 360 4GB console, Kinect, Kinect Sports: Season 2, Kinect Adventures and one month of Xbox Live Gold- $299.99
Bundle 3- Xbox 250GB console, Tomb Raider, Halo 4 and one month of Xbox Live Gold- $299.99
If you purchase one of these bundles between October 13th and January 4, 2014, the bundles will come with a $50 discount.
Unless you really want a disappointing experience, I would skip the first two bundles with the Kinect. The Tomb Raider/Halo 4 bundle looks like a great buy for someone who is needing a replacement console or if you have waited 8 years to jump on the 360 train.
Beyond: Two Souls, the next cinematic game from Quantic Dream makes its way to PS3 this week. Starring Ellen Page and Willam Dafoe, it is the developers follow up to Heavy Rain and so far early reviews have not been too kind saying you feel more like a spectator than controlling a character. Of course, decide for yourself if you want to give it a try. Also, Pokémon is back with two new games on 3DS which I am sure will sell all too well.

2K is back to defend its b-ball crown, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker gives Wii U owners a reason to get excited and one of the most unique looking games ever comes to PSN. Also, the 3DS keeps its library growing with Etrian Odyssey and Rune Factory.
Is there anything else coming out this week besides [amazon_link id=”B0050SXKU4″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Grand Theft Auto V[/amazon_link]? Yes, but it is slim pickings. Can you blame any other publisher for getting out of the way of what will be the best selling game of the year? Exactly.
Two new consoles lead the way this fall and that is not even adding in the huge payload of games that will be making their ways to shelves between now and Christmas. Hockey, Helghast and Hearts (Kingdom) are on the slate this week as well as every Elder Scroll game ever made in one collection. Look at what you can buy this week in video games before the tsunami that is [amazon_link id=”B0050SXKU4″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]GTA V[/amazon_link] comes next week.
Another week, another list of games to spend your hard earned money on. This week continues the “year of Luigi”, Madden is back for the 25th time and the Ninja Turtles are back raising shell. Also, Lost Planet 3 is apparently still a thing because it is coming out this week. I know, I am just as amazed as you.
