  • PS3 Owners Will Finally Get Skyrim DLC

    The-Elder-Scrolls-V-Skyrim-whys-it-always-gotta-be-spiders

    Rejoice Playstation owners! Rejoice!

Bethsda has apparently solved the conundrum that is PS3 programming and figured out how to make the downloadable content work for [amazon_link id=”B004HYK8Y8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Skyrim[/amazon_link].

In February Bethesda will release all three DLC packs (Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn) to the Playstation Store. For the first week of release all three packs will be 50% off which, to me, seems like a kick in the nuts to PS3 owners. People who have bought this game on November 11, 2011 (granted they haven’t given up by now) have encountered problem after problem including the game basically being broken and unplayable. Then you add onto that crap sandwich with Bethesda saying they could not figure out how to port the DLC onto the PS3 and now after a year of waiting and problems you only have these packs being 50% off…..for a week?? Not even free for PS Plus subscribers?

Let’s hope none of these problems exist when Fallout 4 eventually releases on the PS4.

  • First Trailer For RED 2 Gets The Gang Back Together

    RED-2

2013, the year of Bruce Willis, is in full effect. With a new Die Hard coming and his role in G.I. Joe: Retaliation you would figure he would call that a year and be done. Nope! We still have the sequel to 2010’s hilarious [amazon_link id=”B003Q6D2B4″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]RED[/amazon_link] (based on the Warren Ellis comic) coming in August. And here is the first trailer.

Willis’ Frank Moses appears to be enjoying domestic life with Mary-Louise Parker when John Malkovich shows up with a problem. Seems Helen Mirren has accepted a contract, along with a host of other assassins, to track him down and kill him since he is enemy number one on Interpol’s list. Like in the first RED, Malkovich steals this preview as well. Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones come along for the ride this go round also.

    RED 2 releases on August 2, 2013.

  • Waiting On That Tomb Raider Demo? Keep Waiting.

    tomb-raider-delay

Crystal Dynamics has announced that there will be no demo released for the upcoming reboot of [amazon_link id=”B004FS8LYK” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Tomb Raider[/amazon_link], saying that they did not want to spoil the story in any way and also did not want players to start the game and have a week or so break before having to pick it back up. Seems logical especially given how long we have been waiting on this game, holding off an extra week to get the full version should not bother anyone (except your hardcore trolls).

Also bucking with a recent industry trend is the fact that the game will not offer any kind of season or online pass for it’s downloadable content. This has become the norm for many big titles to offer a $20 or $30 package right at release that includes all future DLC in one package. To me, this says that they may not have a whole lot of DLC planned to justify a $30 charge.

    [amazon_link id=”B004FS8LYK” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Tomb Raider[/amazon_link] will release on March 5th.

  • Far Cry 3 DLC Available Today, Expands Single And Multiplayer

    far-cry-3_b1

Today Ubisoft released the ‘Deluxe Bundle” DLC pack for the amazing shooter [amazon_link id=”B0050SYV70″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Far Cry 3[/amazon_link]. The pack contains every pre-order bonus that was offered with the game before release through the various different websites and store deals in one simple download. For only $10 or 800 MS Points you will receive The Lost Expeditions, The Monkey Business Pack, The Warrior, and The Predator Pack as well as new animals to hunt and more single and multiplayer weapons.

    The ‘Deluxe Bundle’ will include:

    • Six new single player missions
    • Two new single player weapons: Tribal Knife and Hunter’s M700 Predator Rifle
    • Four new animals to hunt: the Mountain Lion, Thylacine, White Tiger and Red Vulture
    • One new character: Hurk and his monkeys
    • Two multiplayer weapon unlocks: Type-10 Flare, Shotgun and Predator Bow
    • Two new end of match movies for multiplayer starring Hurk and his monkeys

For 10 bucks that a good amount of content to add on to an already massive game.

  • A Good Day For A Die Hard Marathon

    die-hard-marathon-poster

So how much John McClane can you handle in one day? So far my answer is three movies because that is how many Die Hard’s I have watched in a one day period. Well it looks like 20th Century Fox is giving me a chance to best my record and in a theater no less!

On Wednesday, February 13th theaters across the nation will commemorate the release of A Good Day to Die Hard with a four film marathon of every movie in the franchise (Die Hard, Die Hard 2: Die Harder, Die Hard with a Vengeance and Live Free or Die Hard) that will lead to the first showing of the fifth entry, A Good Day to Die Hard. That’s a lot of yippee ki-yay’s . No pricing or theater locations have been announced yet.

Don’t forget all you romantics that A Good Day to Die Hard opens on Valentine’s Day.

  • Here Is The Galaxy Muse, Samsung’s Answer To The iPod Shuffle

    Samsung-Galaxy-Muse-Pebble-shaped-MP3-Player

First off, I know what you are thinking and no Samsung has not started making birth control holders.

This, in fact, is the company’s answer to Apple’s iPod Shuffle, the Galaxy Muse. The Muse comes with 4GB of storage and promises 6 hours of music playback. While not incredibly stylish in design it does have some cool features that could make this worth a purchase for Galaxy phone owners.

The big feature of this player is the Music Sync Android, which lets you sync your music from your phone to the player without the need of a PC. Simply plug in the Muse into your [amazon_link id=”B007VCRRNS” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Galaxy S3[/amazon_link] or [amazon_link id=”B0099LATZ2″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Galaxy Note 2[/amazon_link] through the headphone jack on the Muse to the USB port on your phone and bingo, your music is synced.

With Samsung making huge headway into Apple’s smartphone money with the Galaxy series this is the next logical step in their attempt to keep their brand strong. The Galaxy Muse is available now and only costs $60.

  • Could A Fallout TV Show Be In The Future?

    fallout3_3_lg

Bethesda filed for a trademark that has people wondering about the possibility of a television show based on their huge series [amazon_link id=”B001REZLY8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Fallout [/amazon_link]. The application calls for Bethesda to have the rights to the Fallout name for “entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world”.

With the massive success of The Walking Dead, a Fallout series should not be too far out of the realm of possibility. With this trademark Bethesda could have something in the works or simply be covering their bases for all the uses of the Fallout name. Only time will tell.

But if a Fallout series is in the future, you have to get Ron Perlman to be in it it. Right? Just pay him whatever he wants.

  • We Will Get To Play The Cave Sooner Than Expected

    TheCaveTitle

One of the games I have anxiously been awaiting to play is The Cave, the new adventure game from Double Fine Studios and industry legend Ron Gilbert, who created [amazon_link id=”B00642R92A” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Monkey Island[/amazon_link]. Now the wait is almost over because it has been announced that The Cave will be released on January 22nd on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U and Playstation Network and January 23rd on Xbox Live.

The Cave is a side-scrolling adventure where you pick three characters from a cast of seven (much like Maniac Mansion) and make your way through a magical cave using all three members of your party to solve the puzzles within.

The Cave will cost 1200 MS Points or $14.99 depending on your platform.
