  • Rambo: The Video Game Has A New Trailer. I Still Want This

Here is a new trailer for Rambo: The Video Game that takes the iconic character through the events of the first three movies. Since hearing about this game early last year I have been very vocal about me wanting it despite the fact it looks completely outdated and may end up being an (at best) mediocre shooter. This trailer does nothing to change that, but dammit, I want to shut off my brain and take on Brian Dennehy and save Richard Crenna while exploding men with my massive armory of weapons.

    Let me have this.

Rambo: The Video Game will release this year.

  • Guy Changes Xbox Gamertag To “Xbox Sign Out”, Hilarity Ensues

This gamer (or genius in my book) changed his gamertag to “Xbox Sign Out” and went online with the underage masses in Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One. What follows is some of the most brilliantly funny gaming ever.

Here is to you, sir. You have my respect.

  • Titanfall’s Max Player Count Is Six Vs. Six. Everybody Calm Down

    2400935-2152012660-b5db5

Vince Zampella from Respawn Entertainment, developer of Titanfall, revealed on Twitter that the maximum players on a map will be twelve consisting of two teams of six. He stated that that number of players felt right with the A.I. bots that will also be occupying the maps.

As with everything, the internet has become foaming at the mouth with complaints about it being too small, which I am certain is something these people hear a lot.

I would actually prefer a smaller player count especially since there will already be A.I. controlled characters and titans to deal with. You do not need 128 people on a map to have fun in multiplayer. Let’s not forget, this is the same Titanfall that has done nothing but amaze everyone who have played it the past nine months. Smaller player counts has not changed that.

    Titanfall releases on March 11th.

  • Sony Announces Playstation Now Streaming Service. This Is A Big Deal

    ps-now-black-554x341_28313_nphd

Sony spent $380 million dollars in 2012 to buy streaming service Gaikai which we all knew would become a way to stream Playstation games onto your PS4 and Vita but Sony has taken things a step farther.

The service is called Playstation Now and will be able to stream Playstation games (PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP) to you PS4, PS Vita as well as your television, smartphone and tablet. Playing The Last of Us on your Kindle is almost a reality. In fact, they had the Naughty Dog game running on a PS Vita using Playstation Now at CES. Sony also said that their 2014 line of Bravia televisions will support Playstation Now.

Talk about backwards compatibility. Being able to draw from the entire well of Playstation offerings over the past 19 years on a host of devices is indeed the definition of that.

Playstation Now will launch this summer with a limited amount of games including The Last of Us, God of War: Ascension, Beyond: Two Souls and Puppeteer. The library will no doubt grow from there. The service will be subscription-based or you can rent games one at a time. If they decide to bundle this with a PS Plus subscription I will be all over this. I would not mind paying $100 a year for PS Plus and the ability to stream games from PS Now. That is an easy sell.

Sony has announced that the Playstation 4 has sold 4.2 million consoles since December 28th. This comes one day after Microsoft announced that the Xbox One sold 3 million consoles.

One million PS4’s were sold in the first 24 hours of the system’s release and the last report had the sales at 2.1 million during the first weeks of December.

There is really nothing else to this news. So here is this:

  • New Alien Game Info Released On Xbox Live (First Gameplay Shown)

    wallpapers-alien-vs-predator-aliens-movie-picture-1920x1080-movie-images-alien-movie-wallpaper

A listing went up on the Xbox Games Store detailing a new Alien game by Sega and developer The Creative Assembly called Alien: Isolation which would see Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, go investigating her mother’s disappearance fifteen years ago only to become trapped with a xenomorph on a space station.

    Check out the official listing:

“”Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and immortal danger. Players will take on the role of Amanda, the daughter of Ellen Ripley, as she goes on a mission to find out the truth behind her mother’s disappearance. The listing states that players will navigate through “an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and and unpredictable, ruthless Alien.”

OK Sega, I was burned by Gearbox on Alien: Colonial Marines (read the review here to see how much it hurt) but since I am a card carrying member in the Alien fanboy club I will see what you have in store for this game.

    UPDATE:

As I was about to hit publish on this article I found that GameTrailers has just posted a video with the first gameplay from Alien: Isolation. Check it out here.

First thought on the video: Damn, that is more like it.

The Xbox One keeps on leaving stores as soon as it comes in.

Yusuf Mehdi, who has an extremely long and I am sure very important title with Xbox has announced that the next-generation console has hit the 3 million mark in sales at the end of 2013. The console released on November 22nd and had reached 2 million sold by December 11th.

Sony also announced sales of 2 million Playstation 4’s around the same time in December but have not updated the numbers since then.

Also, in case you were wondering, Mehdi’s title is Corporate VP of Marketing, Strategy, and Business for Xbox or the CVMSBX. Told you it sounded important.

  • Mega64 Is Back With Their Best Of 2013

A new year is here and so is Mega64 to give their Best of 2013 Awards.

As always, it is never what you would expect, unless you are talking about Game of the Year then you should have a pretty good idea of what it will be if you are a fan.

  • Mario Kart 8 Takes You To The Airport In New Trailer

This new trailer for Mario Kart 8 reveals a new track based at an airport that goes inside, to a runway, then inside of a plane. Then we see more tracks that show off the F-Zero style tracks that defy gravity. Get ready for shouting matches, knocking controllers out of people’s hands and koopa shells up the ass.

Mario Kart 8 releases Spring 2014.

  • Zelda And Dynasty Warriors Make Sweet, Sweet Love. Hyrule Warriors Is Born

Do you like your hack-n-slash games with an Asian feel? Have you played any of the 38 (safe estimate) Dynasty Warriors games? Nintendo is giving you the ability to take your skills to Hyrule. Tecmo Koei is making Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U and will see Link Master Sword his way through thousands of enemies. It will release in 2014.

I am sure Robin Williams will be excited.

    Still waiting on Zelda U.
