  • WWE Hell In A Cell 2014 Predictions

Did you know there was a PPV on Sunday? It kind of sneaks up on you when WWE puts everything on cruise control until Royal Rumble or February when WWE Network subscriptions are up for renewal.

Hell in a Cell has always seemed like one of two PPV’s, along with Extreme Rules, that need to change in the TV-PG environment WWE has now. I don’t need blade jobs left and right, but it is hard to put on matches that advertise brutality, but can’t actually show it.

    20141013_EP_LIGHT_HIAC_Smaus_Miz_HOME

-The Miz vs. Sheamus for the United States Championship

Let’s be honest. I will be watching this match for Damien Mizdow, who has taken what should have been a last resort before being “future endeavored” and made it one of the only entertaining things in WWE. The Miz is better served in his role with a title and a win here will get us a step closer to the eventual Miz vs. Mizdow feud.

Winner- The Miz with the help of his better half.

    20141013_EP_LIGHT_HIAC_AJ_PAIGE_HOME

-Paige vs. AJ for the Divas Championship

You would think I would be tiring of this feud by now. Nope. When these are the only two Divas who can put on good matches on a consistent basis, I have no problem with a third title match. Paige joining Total Divas (NOOOOOOOOOO) tells me all I need to know about this match. Let’s hope Charlotte will make her way to Raw next year to add another piece to the Divas division puzzle that only has two pieces connected.

Winner- AJ by submission that will hopefully be a GIF the next day. For research purposes.

    20141023_EP_LIGHT_HIAC_Show-Russev_HOME

    -Rusev vs. Big Show

Rusev seems like he should be way bigger than he is now. WWE has spent a Russian shitload (that is four pallets of vodka) of time on him. He has a winning streak that will probably go to WrestleMania when Cena goes all “WrestleMania VII Hogan” on him. Here we are seven months away and I don’t know how they can keep it up. Where do they take him after this feud?

Winner- In Mother Russia, match wrestles you.

    20141013_EP_LIGHT_HIAC_Bire_Nikki_HOME

    -Nikki vs. Brie

Remember how Brie and Stephanie at Summerslam had the crowd caring? Forget all that. Actually, seems like WWE wants you to forget a lot about Summerslam. Didn’t Cena wrestle? No? Weird. Seems like he did. Loser of this match has to be the winner’s slave for a month or something like that. I fast-forward Raw whenever they are on. They could be wrestling for a chance to be Cena’s sack shaver for all I know.

    Winner- Ummm, Nikki.

    Loser- Daniel Bryan, for reasons.

    20141023_EP_LIGHT_HIAC_Tag_Team_HOME

-Goldust & Stardust vs. The Usos for the Tag Team Championship

I want to want this match. Kind of hard when they wrestle each other every week on Raw. Wrestling used to have a thing called buildup, where wrestlers would have matches with other people while cutting promos on the wrestlers they were feuding with. Perhaps some match interference would happen, then when came time for the match, you have created the desire to want to watch it. That used to be fun.

Winner- Goldust & Stardust because I am still convinced we will see Gwildor before the Cosmic Key stuff is finished.

-Cesaro vs. Dolph Ziggler in a Two out of Three Falls Match for the Intercontinental Championship

No match preview shot yet because this is announced tonight on Smackdown, thus the snazzy picture. I fully expect this to compete with Ambrose/Rollins for match of the night. Ziggler’s popularity is great to see every week because I know it kills some higher ups. Cesaro will show off his strength and Ziggler will sell everything like only he can. This pick is up in the air for me because I think both guys need the title right now.

Winner- Cesaro by making Ziggler look like a bomb went off in the ring.

    -John Cena vs. Randy Orton

    20141013_EP_LIGHT_HIAC_Cena_Orton_HOME

I will let Vaas from Far Cry 3 explain my thoughts here.

Winner- John Cena because, why the fuck not?

    20141013_EP_LIGHT_HIAC_Ambrose_Rollins_HOME

    -Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

Whether this match goes on last or not, it is the main event in my head. Rollins has been going back and forth with Ambrose since he turned on The Shield in the summer. While Ambrose has one-upped him a few times, he has yet to pick up a win against his former partner. This match should be different. Ambrose hasn’t had his big win yet since The Shield split unlike Rollins and Reigns. It’s coming (not painted on a woman’s pregnant stomach).

Winner- Ambrose hits the double arm DDT (is it still Dirty Deeds?). I will call it the Tittie Drop.

  • Avengers: Age Of Ultron Trailer Makes Me Want A World Run By James Spader

If only for that voice. The Blacklist won’t run forever and watching Boston Legal only gets you so far.

A bit of a snafu happened when the first trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron leaked online a week ahead of its debut on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Instead of trying to find and delete it, Marvel did the best thing possible, they went ahead and released the official one and blamed Hydra for the leak.

    Even Marvel fails upward.

Will the trailer make your life better? Maybe not, but it can definitely help with certain things: wife leaving, sinus problems, indigestion.

  • The X-Men: Days Of Future Past Honest Trailer Even Knows Quicksilver Was Awesome

I really liked X-Men: Days of Future Past. I thought it successfully brought together both generations of X-Men movies and did the comic movie world a favor by erasing the events of X-Men 3. Even the guys at Honest Trailers admit that it was a fun ride with their newest video.

Like with X-Men comics, it is best to ignore timeline problems. You will just make your head hurt.

  • Warner Reveals DC Movie Release Dates, Casts The Flash

    justiceleague12

Warner Bros. opened the floodgate today on DC Comics movie news. They released dates for nine movies based on DC characters including TWO Justice League movies (both directed by Zack Snyder) and announced the casting of Ezra Miller as The Flash, who will appear in Justice League and his own movie. This puts to rest any rumors that Arrow or The Flash TV series will have anything to do with the DC movie universe.

Justice League will come out in 2017 only one year after Batman v Superman as rumors suggested. Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer (Fury) is Warner’s second DC movie of 2016 following Batman v Superman. We should hear more about casting for the Squad soon.

There are two DC movies per year starting in 2016 until 2020. Wonder Woman leads the way in 2017 with a June release while Justice League will avoid the summer of 2017 and stake its claim as the biggest movie of the holiday season. The Flash will open in March 2018 which is smart since it is not in the middle of the summer onslaught and should find a good audience. Aquaman with Jason Momoa has a harder task with a July 2018 release especially if audiences aren’t accepting of the character in Justice League.

    The-Flash-Casting-Writing-Interview

Shazam starring The Rock as Black Adam starts 2019 with Justice League Part 2 in June. 2020 seems to be the year that has the most questions with a solo Cyborg movie and a rebooted Green Lantern. Hopefully eight years is enough time to get the taste of the first film out of their mouths.

This is certainly a balls out move by Warner, but a necessary one if they are going to compete with Marvel in theaters. They have to stick to their guns, even if some of these movies are only moderate successes.

    Check out the schedule below.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – March 25, 2016

    Suicide Squad – August 5, 2016

    Wonder Woman – June 23, 2017

Justice League Part One – November 17, 2017

    The Flash – March 23, 2018

    Aquaman – July 27, 2018

    Shazam – April 5, 2019

Justice League Part Two – June 14, 2019

    Cyborg – April 3, 2020

    Green Lantern – June 19, 2020

  • Robert Downey, Jr. Signs For Cap 3. Civil War Coming To Marvel Movies

    robert-downey-jr--in-iron-man-2-109269

Robert Downey, Jr. was teasing a big Marvel announcement last week during his press tour for The Judge and he was not joking. RDJ is finalizing a deal to be in Captain America 3 that will kick off the Civil War storyline in Marvel movies.

Civil War was Marvel’s big event in 2006 that saw Iron Man and Captain America at odds over the Superhero Registration Act that made vigilantes register their real identities with the US government and act under regulations. Looks like we will get more tension between the heroes that we saw in the first Avengers.

Downey’s role was going to be a small part in Cap 3, but the star convinced Marvel for a bigger part which comes with a bigger paycheck. He will make $40 million for his appearance along with percentage of gross if Cap 3 does better than The Winter Soldier at the box office.

    iron-man-robert-downey-jr-to-co-star-in-captain-america-3

As many know, the Civil War storyline ended with the death of Captain America at the hands of a brainwashed Sharon Carter and Crossbones (whose character, Brock Rumlow was introduced in The Winter Soldier). With Chris Evans’ contract ending after Avengers 3 you wonder if the movies will mirror the comics.

Marvel’s plan is for Civil War to have effects all the way to Avengers 4 that will have Tony Stark creating a new team with Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and other heroes. So while we may not be getting Iron Man 4, we will definitely be getting plenty of Iron Man in other places.

  • Tomorrowland Teaser Trailer Excites

Here is what I knew about Disney’s Tomorrowland:

    1. It is based on the Disney attraction

    2. It is being directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol)

    3. It stars George Clooney

Disney has kept wraps on this project and I am glad since we live in a world of trailers that tell the plot and a hundred posters per release. So it is with great eagerness that I watched this teaser trailer and guess what happened? It teased me. Showing just enough to make me wonder what the heck is going on that I will want to see this opening weekend.

    Tomorrowland releases May 22, 2015.

  • 2015 Royal Rumble Will Be 40 Entrants. Take A Number And Have A Seat

    royal_rumble_1991_wallpaper_by_bignig4real-d3hjz9e

A big announcement was made at the Smackdown tapings from Philadelphia. The 2015 Royal Rumble (that will be in Philly) would include 40 wrestlers instead of 30. This was done once before in 2011 when Alberto Del Rio won.

I said a big announcement, maybe above average works more.

Anyway, now that we have ten extra guys in the match let’s begin speculation as to who will show up.

    -Bushwacker Luke

    -Snitsky

-Bork Laser (not Brock, an actual wrestler named Bork Laser)

    -El Dandy

    -Drew Carey

    -JTG

-Shelton Benjamin (as he and Kofi will look amazing then be eliminated)

-the entire TNA roster (they will need jobs after December)

    -Mikey Whipwreck

    -Kathy Lee and Hoda

-Key & Peele (as Bismo Funyuns and Quiznatodd Bidness)

-anyone from NXT to make the middle of the match interesting

  • Transformers: Age Of Extinction Has An Honest Trailer Because, Transformers

You don’t need an Honest Trailer to tell you that Transformers: Age of Extinction was bad, but it can offer some relief for anyone who spent real money to see this piece of sh**.

I was waiting until I could Redbox this for a dollar to at least see how ugly it could be, though I can’t even do that now with the parts of the movie I have seen beforehand. I have spent nine hours watching the first three movies. I could have used that time so much better. Having root canals, pulling out my nose hairs one by one until I cry, trust falling off a building praying the concrete is fluffy.
