The application calls for Bethesda to have the rights to the Fallout name for “entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world”.

With the massive success of The Walking Dead, a Fallout series should not be too far out of the realm of possibility. With this trademark Bethesda could have something in the works or simply be covering their bases for all the uses of the Fallout name. Only time will tell.

But if a Fallout series is in the future, you have to get Ron Perlman to be in it it. Right? Just pay him whatever he wants.
